The airport in Van Nuys California has evicted this beautiful plane from it's hanger and the men who have worked on and kept this work of art flying are in danger of having it fall victim to the elements. It was always on display during the airshows at VN and now may be sent to another facility/airstrip.

Please take a second to sign the petition, many of the men who have worked on this plane are WWII vets and are very dedicated to their hobby!

THANKS!

Thanks guys!

The gents who keep this plane flying and going to different shows are very dedicated to their "job".

They set up a little area at each show with a jeep, tent and other WWII articles and charge a few dollars for a short tour of the plane. All the money goes back into keeping the the plane flying and hangered.

Should you ever get a chance to see any WWII plane near you, please take the time. Today's Air Force pilots have the luxury of "retreating" at the speed of sound. When you actually see a vintage plane flying along, you cannot help but think of what kind of men that flew them and how much they put on the line to do their job. We can't forget them.:(

Signed! I hope they can keep the poor Mitchell there. I know Camarillo used to have some of the Commemorative Air Force planes, so maybe that's an option too. Much further drive than Van Nuys or Burbank though.

Steve Crowe, a camera operator and aviator who helped work on the Heavenly Body, plane passed away earlier this week, two weeks after the turned 59.

He'd appreciate a few more signatures, I am sure about that!

Thanks again~!
