Yep.. I just had to get a new driver's license.. because I lost it.. my own stupidity. Now, all I can think is when I look at my new license, is that my new picture looks a lot more horrible than it did on my old one. It's bad enough that I won't show a picture of how I look in my picture. My hair just looks a lot more "flat' then it should've been... Haha. Why do I must be over dramatic over a license like this? I just know that when I turn 25 next September, I have to re-new it. Do you do the same thing? ;)

I have never disliked my license picture - my hair pretty much does something different every day, anyway. I just smile, and the picture comes out fine.

This last time, though, I sat for my picture, and the RMV woman said, "Okay, remove your glasses."

Me: "Huh? Why?"

RMV: "New rule, no glasses on in license pictures"

Me: "But my license says right on it 'Corrective lenses required'!"

RMV: "Yeah, that doesn't matter, that's just how it is."

*snap*

So to me, my license picture just looks a little off - I haven't seen myself without glasses basically since I was 9 years old!

And, by the way, my vision is bad enough so that my LIFE should be stamped "corrective lenses required!"

My picture looks nothing like me anymore. I have long curly hair. I got my license renewed when I had straight shorter hair. Oh well, I don't "hate" it though. Which is good, I guess. I know I had my picture from when I first got my license on there FOREVER!! Now I guess they make you take a new picture more often.

I just got my second one ever a few weeks ago, because I moved to a new state. I have about two inches of dark brown roots and badly bleached blonde the rest in it, because my hair was very damaged from dying it so I had to leave it alone a while while it got better, and I chopped of the worst of it. A few days after the picture was taken I dyed it fun pink and orange. Oh well. At least I registered to vote and became an organ donor easily at the same time.

We get ours renewed every 4 years in PA. If we move, we can get a temp card that shows the new address. You can get it retaken if your card is lost/stolen as well.

I still have a few of mine from past years. The one that cracks me up is where I'm about 24(14yrs ago) and have really BIG hair, lol. That was back during the whole "let's tease our hair and hairspray the heck out of it." We could have had a tornado and my hair wouldn't have moved. It's a wonder I can still breathe after all that AquaNet, lol.

They took my old one when I got my new Iowa one. I kind of wanted to keep it but I can see how I could have given it to someone under 18 to use it to buy tobacco and stuff like porn, or whatever else it is that you have to be 18 to buy. I don't buy or use anything that I couldn't legally buy or use a year ago when I was 17.

They never asked for my old ones to take, but they did punch a hole in them.

Haha, I know the feeling. My drivers license picture is awful. I can't wait until another year from now when I turn 18 and get a new one. :) I don't think I am over-dramatic about it.. though I will admit that when I have to show my id(when writing checks) I tend to laugh a little to myself.

I was wondering why they did that to me. Doesn't look like me without my glasses ... oh well
