On friday night these two showed up at our doorstep...

They are REALLY friendly...the darker one was even really friendly with Skya, she wasn't afraid at all. The lighter one hissed and swatted. I didn't let the other dogs meet them I wasn't sure how they would be.

I've never had a cat so I'm not sure how accurate my age guesses would be...but I was thinking around 6-7 weeks. They are very tiny. I think they are both females since they had pink collars, but I didn't check, and I'm not good at telling on cats anyway.

Anyway, we assumed they had owners because of the collars and how friendly they are. One of my neighbors took them in and has put up signs, etc. but as of today has had nobody claim them. She told my mom today that she's only going to keep them for a couple more days then will take them to the shelter. I really do not want them to end up at our shelter as its a kill shelter. Taking them into our home until they get adopted is just not an option, I wish it was. We have 4 dogs, all but Skya would likely not be good with them, and my dad is HIGHLY allergic to cats.

I just emailed a bunch of rescues with their pictures...wish me luck that one will respond and take them. Unless a PTer wants some super cute kittens? ;)

Oh my goodness!! They are absolutely beautiful!! I hope their owners are found. Is the shelter a no-kill shelter (I hope)? Although, I'm sure they'd find homes VERY quickly with how gorgeous they are. But I will be hoping their family claims them soon.

They are so lovely. It is so strange that no one is looking for these two! I hope they will be able to stay together if they are adopted out.

If you are in Utah and your shelter is a kill-shelter, why don't you contact Best Friends. Their location is out there.

With how cute those little ones look, there should be no problem getting them adopted...

I find it odd that they have collars and yet no one is looking for them. No posters ors ad anywhere? Goodness, how lucky for them that they came to your house. They should place easily, that's for sure, but it would be so nice if they could stay together.

They just happened to show up, huh? Someone knows you're an animal lover.

Why would someone toss out two absolutely stunning little kittens like that?? They look well taken care of, and with pink girlie collars yet!

I hope you can get them into a home or a foster home before they go to a shelter!

I love the pic of them staggered on the steps, with the arched backs, looking at Skya, lol. Too darn cute!!

I bet they belong to somebody, with their little collars and their friendliness - I hope their owners see the flyers!

Get online and get on Petfinder, type in your zip code and get a list of local rescue groups, send them ALL pictures of those two lovely babies.. If they were here, the rescue groups would be beating the door down after those two. They are very special kitties, DO NOT allow them to be taken to a shelter!!! You will not have any problem finding those babies homes, they are TO pretty and TO special!

Those two blue eyed kittens are just adorable!:D
The pictures of them with Skya are too cute!
They look like they may be a couple of purebred blue point Ragdolls.
With the pink collars they must have a home nearby, I hope their owners claim them soon.
If not, then I hope a rescue will take them rather than them going to the shelter.
They should be very easy to adopt out but I really think that someone is missing them and will claim them soon.

They're gorgeous.:) I hope that their owners find them soon or that you can find a no kill shelter or a rescue group to take them in. Maybe you can try a Siamese Rescue Group. Good luck.:)

Oh my goodness, if I lived very close to you I might be tempted. They are just so adorable. I wonder too if they belong to someone since they do have collars on.

I hope you find their owners or the best possible home for them.

I showed this thread to my mom, and she said this:

it must have been a horrible thing for somebody to get rid of them.
i'm guessing they didn't see any other way out, and left the collars on
because they wanted the person where they left them to know that they had
loved them.
the economy is making things impossible for some people.
you can see they had been cared for.
my heart hurts for the cats and the former owners.

It's a total possibility that they did leave the collars on to show that they were very loved.

Has there been any calls about them??

Hugs to the little sweeties.

They've been adopted. We just went out to walk the dogs tonight and passed by the neighbors house while the kittens were leaving with their new owner. I don't know anything about the lady adopting them, my neighbor was the one who adopted them out. She seemed like a really nice lady, she said she fell in love with them. She took them both, so they are staying together. :) I just had a email response earlier today from a rescue that said they would take them so either way they would have been okay.

Rescues RUN to get kittens like that! We had a man bring some into the shelter where I was helping out and the man had hardly left when they had a rescue on their way to get them. Glad to hear this had a happy ending and they didn't end up in a shelter and glad they got to stay together.
