WOW!!!! Very impressive!! I adore that picture of the red sunflower, it is gorgeous! Isn't that one from the seeds I sent 2 years ago??

I'd love to know the name of this purple flower! I hope we can buy it here too.

Thank you everyone, gardening is one of my creative outlets. Acutally this year was kind of strange, very dry, lots of those horrible, disgusting Japenese beetles (thanks to my sweet hubby for picking them off one by one) and not much time on my part. If you look you can see my brown grass.:(:(:(

Those lovely purple flowers are called Cleome, Queen Mix, Spider Plant by Burpee. www.burpee.com (http://www.burpee.com)
But be aware they are sticky, pricky and once you plant them they come back over and over and over. The seed pods open in the late summer on the long stems, seeds are dropped and hundreds of little Cleomes spring forth, causing much weeding. They are my husbends favorite, they come in white, pink and purple and are truly lovely.
As for the wonderful Sunflower I did not get any of your seeds but perhaps we can trade some if you like. If any one wants to trade seeds just let me know. Burpee and Parkseed are excellent places to purchase seeds. :D

I'm hoping for a variety of similar flowers to finish the landscaping next year. I want to plant perrenials because they take much less effort in a way. We've started redoing everthing this year but have lots to do yet.

How did your plants do overnight? We had scattered frost last night too.:(
I love that Cleome flower, it's gorgeous.:) All I have left blooming are my two
hydrangea bushes. They are still producing new flowers. I have blue ,pink
and purple blossoms.
