Doc told me to give my 16 month old motrin to help control fever. I gave him the correct dosage but his belly is hurting him terribly. Any quick fixes that could give him relief??

He took it along with half a banana which was very difficult to get in him. He is refusing any liquid besides water. I appreciate any advice!!

I'm not an expert on this but I find that saltine crackers will help when medication upsets my stomach. It kind of absorbs the acid from it.

I just tried to get him to eat a cracker and first he just turned his head and then he grabbed it, screamed at me, and threw it on the floor:(

Yikes. I don't have experience with little ones so I'm not going to be of much help. Hope he feels better soon.

Ginger ale, Missy. Or ginger snaps if you have them. Ginger helps soothe a tummy ache, it is scientifically proven - many years after Dad taught me that!

I managed to coax out nearly a dose from the bottom of a bottle that I bought when he was a baby... but he has already burped twice and gestured towards the bottle so that I'd let him hold it!

I hope this works:(

Well... nothing helped, but it has been 5 hours since I gave him the meds and I think they are finally starting to wear off. Hopefully the poor guy will be able to sleep now. Thanks for the suggestions :) I

No fever at all yet today! He screamed most of the morning, but I'm hopeful that the worst is over. He does appear to be getting a rash so I'm thinking that this whole thing might have been a case of Roseola.
