I opened the door and she bolted. The last time this happened, she was gone two full days and one over night. She will let me get within a foot of her and then she will take off again.

Since summer is over, there is less traffic on the streets these days and I do live in the country. I worry more about when the sun goes down....lots of ugly things happening out there....

I am not as worried this time as I was the last time....

So for all those folks who wonder why "good cats" are found wandering the streets, here ya go! Cats do get out from time to time. Juni doesn't know how to act once she gets outdoors. It's amazing how stupid she gets. Lucy, the black barn cat of mine does just fine outside with me.....nearly everyday. Juni just isn't meant for the wild....

I hope she gets cold and wants in early this evening. The little rat faced kitty.

Well, you know the routine, shake that POUNCE can, walk slowly, keep food near the door etc.

I have a list, if you PM me with your email addy I'd be glad to send it along to you.

Get yourself back inside, Juni!

Sas, I'm sorry to hear that Juni has gone out and been a naughty girl.
Has she gotten hungry and shown up at the door yet?
I forgot, does she wear a collar with her name and phone # on it?
I made sure my new girls got their new collars on as soon as I got them home just in case one of them got out.
Luckily now they are both very happy to stay indoors and just look out the windows.
I really hope that Juni comes back soon, maybe it will rain and she will want to come back in tonight.

WOW! Juni picked a bad day to take off. Are you getting any effects from Hurricane Kyle? If so, the little stinker will be soaked to the skin. Fingers and paws are all crossed for your little 'rat faced kitty!' :p Your sense of humor will get you through as you await the return of Ms. Juni. Hope it is a short wait and she gets hungry and remembers her nice warm, dry home.

SAS,

I hope that little Juni baby comes home soon cuz I know I wouldn't be able to sleep all night knowing she's out there somewhere:eek:

Eve used to be somewhat irregular:rolleyes: about how long her wanderings took and my heart would be in my mouth until she strolled in wondering what I was all about:p

Paws and claws all crossed for her safe return:)

I play the Khat Gahm with Ed when he gets out.

I make sure that I am in the area where the Edster is, I take out his treats, shake the bag/can and set it in front of me. Then, I sit down and ignore him.

I do turn to the side so I can watch him out of the corner of my eye.

When you stare and cajole them, they pick up on the vibes and know you are up to something.

Luck!

Oh, Juni-Get-Back-Here! Find a good tree to climb if any coyotes come by, but otherwise, get yourself back to the house where you belong!

Sas don't forget to update us. I know how she is- haven't forgotten that she escaped me for some hours last year and how much time it took to entice her out of under the porch with a feather wand.
I love Juni nevertheless- so please you brat kitty, come home!

I sat and read a magazine, outside, after looking all over the darn neighborhood earlier this AM. I alerted neighbors too.

Low and behold, across the street (country road) in the thickets I spied Ms. Juni. She looked a bit out of sorts but not hurt. Lucy, the black barn cat had taken a trip into the neighbor's yard also, so I think Juni spotted Lucy and came out of the bushes ... Thank you Lucy.

I decided not to pursue Juni, since running is her favorite past time. She came across the road, went under the porch. I sat and read... she finally had had enough and went inside. The first place she went was the food dish. I got out a dose of Frontline to put on her....to ward off any fleas or ticks.... and then brought out her favorite canned food. First thing was to get the Frontline on her...and that was easy...then she ate. She looked fine, but I will check her over after the day's end and she is rested.

Chloe was beside herself all last night. Chloe and Juni are both Aby cats and hang out together. Lucy is my shadow. So Chloe had no play mate last night. Lucy was not horrified at all. Lucy and Juni often go to the mat over who gets to lounge around ON Mom. All in all, the evening last night was one continual worry.

Lucy is out right now, so I am outside on the porch, with my laptop. I have a wireless connection and if I sit in a location close to the router, I can get on the internet.

Thanks for listening.

She's home. The little stinker.

I'm so happy to hear that Juni is back home again.:D
I figured she would be hungry when she got home, now I bet she will sleep in one of her favorite comfy spots for most of the day.
I hope you gave Lucy a treat for helping Juni come home.:)

Juni, you little rat faced ho!!! Glad you got your furry little arse back home safely.

Sallyanne, I hope you got some sleep last night. I called BB&B and spoke to my favorite manager and told him your "QUOTE". He laughed his arse off and said to send you a "HIGH FIVE".

So glad the little bugger is home! We have that problem with Silly Momma. She's a little thing and can slip by you in a split second, esp if you have your hands full. What worries us is that she' black and white and that's the colors of Stormy (the infamus neighborhood attack cat!) in fact Silly is Stormy's mom.

Anyway, glad she's home.

So good to hear she is back! A few times Eddie has run out at night. I quickly learned my best bet is to calmly (on the outside anyway) wiat for him. A chase is so much fun! (for him.)

Thankfully, he no longer seems interested in a walk on the wild side.

Parenting is hard work! ;)
