As I posted here (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=146544), I took Luna to the vet yesterday where she underwent anaesthesia. It must be the scent of the anaesthetic that confuses Lily, because as soon as I came back home with Luna, Lily started hissing and growling.
When Luna crawled out of her carrier, still sedated, Lily howled and hissed, and she totally panicked. Later, she was so terrified that she even hissed at me.
Lily is usually the most friendly cat you can imagine, and she's never hissing. The first time she did it was last year when Luna has been sedated for her ultrasound of the bladder. So I guess it's really the smell of the anaesthetic that's driving Lily mad.
Today, there was still a lot of hissing and complaining, but the situation is more relaxed by now and I figure that everything's back to normal tomorrow.
Here's poor Luna coming out of her carrier, wobbly and nauseaus:

While she came out, Lily was hiding outside the door and was already howling:

Here, she was hissing as Luna approaches:

It's easy to see how uncomfortable she is:

BTW, she slept in the living room last night while Luna was in meowmie's bed, as usual. Poor Lily didn't have the heart to be in the same room with Luna. :(
