Yesterday I took my two new Siamese cats Milly and Izzy to the vet to get their shots updated and to make sure they were in good health.
They both did great and were so good for the vet, no hissing or growling at all, Samantha always gave the vet a hard time when I took her in.
I was also able to get their health records from their former vet so now I know their birthdates and the dates that they were both spayed.
The former owner had used them for breeding and they each had a litter before they were a year old.
Milly actually had two litters in two years, Izzy is one of her kittens from her first litter.
I am so happy that they both are healthy and that they were both so good at the vets.
All the girls working there thought they were beautiful.:)

I have finally had time to go through some more photos of them, these pictures are all from the first week they were here. They have now been here two weeks and have really settled in nicely, they are so cute when they play chase and tag with each other. I can tell they are both very happy here and they make my whole family happy after the sadness of having to say goodbye to Samantha.

I will post some new photos in the next post.:)

Both Izzy and Milly used to be indoor/outdoor cats. We trained them to use a leash and harness and took them out in our garden for a short visit.
Izzy explored more while Milly laid down a lot because she is still getting used to the harness so I only have one photo of Milly outside.

Those eyes are breathtaking!

Every time I see or read about Siamese cats I think of my dad (rip) He had his own vocabulary and one was 'simonize cats' for Siamese cats! :D Dad was a hoot!

Wow! Izzy and Milly are simply gorgeous!! Beautiful coat and blue eyes - and they seem to adjust so well, even with a harness on. What a good climber Izzy is!

You miss Samantha, of course, as we all do, but these two will surely help cheer you up. :)

Now that you have the former vet records - when are their birthdays?:)

Izzy just turned two on August 29th and Milly will turn three on October 7th.
The former vet records showed that they had planned to breed Milly with their male siamese and they recommended they wait until she was at least 18 months old. The former owners didn't listen because Milly had her first litter(3 kittens including Izzy) before she was a year old. Izzy's records also showed that she was bred and had 5 kittens about 6 weeks before her first birthday just last summer. Both girls were fixed last summer after Izzy's babies and Milly's 2nd litter were born. Not the best situation for the girls, they are so much better off and much happier here now.:)

Gary, I swear that Samantha has been talking to Milly, I have found her sleeping in a couple of Samantha's favorite spots, she must have told only Milly because Izzy never sleeps there.
There were also several coincidences about me finding the ad in the same paper that I originally found the ad for Samantha in, they lived in the town that we lived in with Samantha for 3 years before we moved here, their former vet was from the same town that Samantha was born in, and both Samantha and my new girls had momcats that were under 1 year old, indoor/outdoor cats and loaded with fleas. I just know that Samantha wanted me to find these beautiful girls and adopt them so they could fill the vacancy she had left here, it took two kitties to replace her because she was such a special kitty.
