A large number of drugs from the generic firm Ranbaxy have been banned from entering the U.S.

Issues cited were cross-contamination and microbial contamination.

*yikes* If this company were in the US they'd have a boatload of FDA deficiencies. Because the FDA has limited jurisduction overseas, they can only interdict products at the border.

This goes right back to the Health Care ideas that these stupid politicians have.

They have to reform the whole industry.

Especially, implants, drugs and equipment.

The drug industries cannot test and refine any meds because of the LAWS AND LAWYERS in this country.

People are so stupid and do not realize that there is no MIRACLE DRUG on the planet. When they stop watching Scrubs, House and reruns of EMERGENCY! They'll figure it out.

When they see a miracle drug doesn't work, they go to a lawyer to sue the hospital, clinic and drug maker! That drives up the insurance rates for all.

Start at the bottom, put caps on jury awards and then put the saved money into the industry-let people know the cannot sue for jillions in a med lawsuit.

That's the reason that many companies rush to make a generic drug, then try to "control the quality" overseas. When if affects people like the tainted baby formula, then you'll hear something.
