A lot has been happening around here lately so this evening I just took a good, deep breath and relaxed. While I was doing that I took a few snapshots of the kitties and decided to share them.

Queen Melani certainly didn't like the idea of me bothering her during her time of relaxation. I can't blame her, though, considering she has to deal with Khaith and Kayla's pestering all day.

My beautiful-boy, Prince Khaith. Don't let that face fool you, he is a complete pest to the other cats. At night you can hear him thundering through the house causing as much ruckus as he can. He is still a total sweetheart to me, though. He is a mumma's boy. :]

Little miss Princess Kayla in her favorite napping spot. Notice her tail?

Ouch! On Monday she had to have a little over 1/3 of her tail amputated when she learned the lesson that her tail doesn't get to the destination quite as fast as the rest of her body. Mum accidently severed and de-gloved a small portion of her tail in a door. Ugh, it still gives me the chills.

But look at that face! It doesn't bother her in the slightest. I sure did miss her when she had to spend that night at the vets, though. I will admit that I had a good cry once I settled down in bed and realized my little snuggle-buddy wasn't going to be there that night. I guess she missed me, too, as the following day she acted like she hadn't seen my in years.
Oh, and she hasn't learned her lesson; mum has just learned to close doors slower. ;)

I am totally smitten with this little girl. Her name is Martha.. or Marsha... or Margaret. She goes by many names. Not a permanent member, but more of a foster. Someone saw her being thrown out of a moving vehicle on a local college campus (her paws are sore and torn and she has a few scuffs here and there). My sister offered us to give her a safe place to stay until something is figured out. If she isn't claimed she will be spayed and will live at the barn at the college. It is very secluded and only agri students and faculty is allowed out there and she will be well looked-after.
As you can tell, she finds the camera lens-cover much more interesting than posing for pictures.

This picture shows her coloring a bit better. She adores it when I hold her in my arms. She is a super sweet cat, and oh, what I would do to have her as my own! Mum isn't too keen on adding another feline to the family, and I respect that.
Well, that is it! Just a little update on the feline-family of ours. Hopefully things settle down and I can share pictures a bit more often.
Thanks for looking. :)
