Hubby is making it for me tonight. A classmate's birthday is tomorrow (turning the big 3-0!) and we all decided to chip in and throw her a "party". I offered to make the only thing suitable for a party full of vet techs -- a kitty litter cake!!!

But since I'm swamped with school work/papers/studying/student council activities tonight, hubby and our good friend both offered to make it for me (that, and I told them they could eat whatever was left over as incentive). It's not finished yet but very close... I will definitely have to post pics when its finished!

Hee hee, I made that cake a few years ago for a Halloween party at work. Needless to say not too many people tried it, but it actually tasted good. I also have pictures of it. I got a pooper scooper to use with it too. :p

I made one of those cakes for my family's celebration of my mother's and father's 40th anniversary!

It looked like... well, what it's supposed to look like.. but was a big hit and tasted delicious. A good time was had by all.

It was a huuuuge success! And it tasted great! A lot of people were weary about eating it but once they did a lot went back for seconds! Plus as the day progressed the "turds" started to melt and became runny and there'd be a pool of grown goo in it, which of course repulsed even more people haha

Here's the finished product! (sorry, it was a pic taken with my phone at school this morning after people started "digging in"!)

OMG!! That is a sick kitty using that box. LOL The runny tootsie rolls are great! Even more disgusting. I didn't have success with the toostie rolls on mine. But I did hang one over the edge. :p

That's fantastic! The tootsie rolls in mine didn't get all runny like that, darn it. Those soggy messes really add to the ambience!

I gave that recommendation to an American friend of mine who lives in London. We googled lots of interesting and yummy sounding recipes.

I think maybe he warmed them up for too long and they got too soft, that's the only thing I can think of. Throughout the day they seemed to "melt" even more and thered be a puddle of chocolately goo on the bottom of the pan... making it even more disgusting, lol.
