I dropped Athena off this morning at the vets to get her Hernia repaired.

Please say a little pray that everything goes smoothly. I'm going to be leaving work at 3 pm to go pick her up. She was not a happy camper this morning when I put her in the cage but I trust the vet and she will do just fine.

Please God be with my baby today while she under the knife. I love her and even though I've only had her since March of this year when I rescued her off the streets of Bellefonte, we have made a bond.

Love you Athena,
Melissa

I just called the vets about an hour ago and they said she was just waking up.

I picked up Athena yesterday about 4 pm and she was wide awake. The vet orders are no jumping or activity for 7 days!

I sorta had to laugh because trying to confine Athena is going to be hard but once I got her home last night I put her in the bathroom and set up the cage for her and put her the bathroom. When I left to get her food and water she of course ran out.

So I had to go get her and put her back in the bathroom. We caged her last night while we slept but now she's just chilling out in the bathroom.

It's hard to confine her in a small cage but if we leave she will have to be for a while yet until she heals.

Thank you all for the prays for her,
Melissa

Hi Athena, I'm so happy to know that everything went well with your whitecoat and you're back with your purrents again. Please take it easy, get your rest and get better soon. And don't forget our kitty code, play this up for lots of extra lovies and plenty of your favorite treats. I'm sending you lots of feel better headbumpies and purrs!

Your friend,
Groucho

Keeping her still so hard when Juliet had her hernia surgery. She'd always been an outside cat, as far as I know anyway. She came here as a stray that wouldn't let us near her. I had to keep her inside in a crate for over a week because her hernia was so severe that the doctor wasn't sure he could even get enough flesh to cover over where the organs were sticking out. I made sure to do it though, so we wouldn't have to have another surgery. I'm sure your Athena will recover wonderfully.

Moe,

It is hard to keep Athena still especially when I'm in the bathroom with her since she loves to drink from the faucets.

She's been recovering just fine though thank goodness. I hate keeping her away from her brothers and sisters but it's for her own good and no rough playing is permitted till next Monday so hopefully she'll continue to heal up just fine.

Thank you everyone for your prays and good thoughts.

Melissa
