Ok. The wait is over. Please meet Dora, my very special Yorkie baby! She is so sweet, cute, PLAYFUL, and Joey LOVED HER when she got home in the yard, until she came inside. Then he realized she is staying, and does not want anything to do with her.

I got all of her paperwork, a puppy kit and set up her new cage for her. She seems to be happy here, and she LOVES to give kisses. I scheduled her a vet appointment for Monday morning, but the vet said to call in the morning to see if someone cancels. I really wanted to get her checked out ASAP.

PLEASE EXCUSE MY DIRTY TABLE> WE JUST PULLED IT OUT OF STORAGE 2 DAYS AGO AND I HAVE NOT GOT TO WIPE IT DOWN YET!

Thank you all for the nice comments:D She has already used her potty pad in her playpen, and is whining to be let out as we speak:p

I was going to name the other yorkie Maybelline Lillian (Mabel lilly) A name I have loved for ages. But I felt I should change my new babies name completely. A new start;)

Her name is Dora Jolie. I thought it was cute.

I will post Joey pictures later on, maybe tomorrow. Glad you all like her. I think she is quite adorable:)

I love her name! My grandson watches a show on TV called Dora the Explorer and your Dora sure will have a lot to explore in her new home (ground level of course! :p ) Please tell Joey that I still love him to pieces and am looking forward to seeing some pictures of him with his new sister. If I ever was lucky enough to get to NC and visit you, you'd better check my pockets before I leave because there might be a chihuahua or yorkie in one! :p

Thank you all again. She was so happy when she woke up this morning, her whole body was "waggling and wobbling":p

She LOVES her vitamins the breeder gave me. She takes them willingly. Shes such a good puppy, other than the toe chewing, she loves that!:D

She is about the size Joey was when he came, a pound maybe? She is small compared to her litter mates. They were SO cute too. The breeder wanted me to keep her on Nutri Cal puppy for a few more weeks, and I am. But it makes her gassy, and her poop runny...

Her appointment is Monday. Today they were overbooked, and I hated asking Dr. Zech to work later just for a check up. Even though I know she would jump at a chance to meet her, and see her Boyfriend Joey. She loves him, and I dont get to hold him the entire time we are there. She takes him to see all the other doctors and workers, and then snuggles him the rest of the time:p It is really sweet:)

chocolatepuppy- Gosh I hope so. I feel so guilty. I always take Joey out first, play with him first, feed him first, my first kisses and cuddles of the day. To let him know he is still my number one boy... I love that little guy. I dont want to hurt him.


To anyone whom can help- Is there any way to make Joey like her? I mean, a way to get him to see she just wants to play with him, and she is not that bad? Or do I just wait it out and see? Thank you in advance!

I've been through this 'introducing puppy thing' 3 times in the last 8 years.;) Just give it some time. It has always worked out. Joey will soon see there are benefits to having a baby sister to play with. Try letting go of the quilt. You've given Joey a friend to play with, what's to be guilty about? I was the same way each time I brought a puppy home, then , it all worked out. :)

Don't feel guilty about Joey. Like someone said, you've given him a friend and you've also given Dora a great home, so it's a win-win. I've been through it too and it just takes time and patience.

I think you just need to give Joey some time, he'll come around with her. I read the other thread first, so now that I have a better "picture" of the cuteness he is up against, well, just work with them and give it time.
