Downright batty: British woman finds bat in her bra

Wed Jul 9, 12:47 PM

LONDON (AFP) - A British woman spoke of her surprise Wednesday after finding a baby bat in her bra.

Abbie Hawkins, 19, harboured the creature in her bosom for over four hours and had felt a slight twitching but thought it was her mobile phone vibrating.

Eventually, though, she checked and found the creature nestling in the padding pocket of her 34FF bra.

"Once I realised it was a bat I was shocked, but then I felt quite sorry for it really," Hawkins, a hotel receptionist from Norfolk, eastern England, told the Eastern Daily Press newspaper.

"It looked very snug in there and I thought how mean I was for disturbing it."

The bat survived unharmed and has been released back into the wild.

How in the heck do you NOT notice that there is a bat in your bra when you put it on?? It doesn't just crawl in there while you're wearing it.

As a side note, I can't imagine a woman who's 34" around being naturally a FF. That's really large!

‘I did not notice anything as I put my bra on. The night before I had had one or two drinks and I was getting ready quickly.

LOLOLOLOL,

What would have happened if she had three or four drinks the night before?

‘Bats often roost in trees or under roof tiles - anywhere that is dark or safe.’

Four hours inside a bra sounds safe to me.;)

Yes, but what I meant was that I doubt they are "natural".... ya know?? Not when you're 34" around!

Actually - I found this out on Oprah (imagine Whoopi getting measured for a real bra? :D )

The fitting expert says that the number - 34 - is the measurement around the chest below the breasts. The number of inches difference between the chest and the breast measurement determines the letter.

So - 1" difference, A cup; 2", B; 3", C....etc....etc....

OH, ok...I didn't know that for the longest time, so I thought you meant she was 34" AROUND....

Though the bra does look like it is a major support monster - and the bat was caught in the "pad"....surely this isn't a padded model????

Oh well - it was reported by journalists, so it must be true, right? ;):p:D

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would admit to the story.

And those things have fangs and claws......why didn't it bite her?

I had to laugh about this and thought that if this happened in Lost Angeles, there would be thousands of pervs looking to pay for her breast reduction.;)

her being overweight has nothing to do with her chest size.

I think the whole thing is weird. I would have flipped out.
but it being a baby might explain the whole thing. They don't know any better.
