At just the beginning of the fire season the northern half of the state is on fire.

The last count was 1400-Yes, 1400 fires spread all over.

One firefighter died from a heart attack and the gov. is sending more Nat'l. Guard troops out to help augment the people already on the lines...

I have been watching that on TV and it is so scarey! Where do all those people go?

Seems like every time I turn on the news, there's another fire out there. One man said that this is fire season but then he amended that statement and said that every season is fire season in CA. I feel so bad for everyone. I wish I could be of some help but the least I can do is pray w/out ceasing. You're in my prayers, Richard, and so is my son, believe me.

The air up here is horrible. Yes, we can smell the smoke in San Francisco. It's scary. I heard an estimate that they might have the Big Sur fire contained by July 30! :eek:

Thanks for the good vibes, but the people up north need the thoughts more than I do.

El Lay is about 350 miles south of SF! We are o.k. but will get our fire seson going soon!:confused:
