State dogs

Hi!
I was going on search pages for about an hour... looking for a state dog page. Do you know any websites that have the state dog of any states? I was looking for the state dog of MN. Can you help me???:confused:

I went to askjeeves.com and found out that the SC State Dog is the Boykin Spaniel. I found a page on Minnesota that listed lots of things, like State Flower, etc, but nothing for a state dog. Wonder if they don't have a state dog perhaps??

Couldn't find anyGeorgia State Dog. There a State flower and bird, but no dog!

Yeah, i couldn't find one either for Georgia.

I wonder if the University of Georgia's bulldog UGA would be considered the state dog?

It could be very possible that only some states have state dogs... I just wanted to see if I could find one. Guess what Logan!!! I was just going to put the Boykin Spaniel under Dog Breeds on the thread called" Brand New Named that Breed! Yay!" If there was a pic, and I would have put that breed, you would have gotton it right... too bad I didn't put that breed!:p

Can you guys/girls reccomend any search pages?

Yeah!!! haahaa! Maybe there is no state dog... I am going to do more researching.

South Carolina: Boykin Spainiel
North Carolina: Plott Hound
Virginia: American Fox Hound
Wisconsin: American Water Spaniel
Pennsylvania: Great Dane
Maryland: Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Massachusetts: Boston Terrier
Alaska: Malamute

It doesn't appear to be a national thing.

The possibilities are just about endless for Indiana then KayAnn!! lol

I'm going to write to our state rep when I get my home puter up or when the system comes up again at school and ask if we have one or what we have to do to get one.

I guess Georgia was left out when they were choosing state dogs. :(

Thanks Mugsy! That is soooo cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's that Georgia got left out, because so did many other states... too bad though... but maybe we can find some more stuff... if we are lucky... I sure hope so.
