I found a big wooden tabletop, and was so HAPPY - I love jigsaw puzzles and hadn't done any for over 20 years! I set everything up on the two endtables that double as coffee tables. That is one of Cole's spots, but he has lots of others...so I figured he'd leave it alone.

Little did I know he would consider it a vast improvement on "his spot"...:D

Here he is - happy, comfy, and adorable by turns.

You mean you were actually planning on trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle in a house with not one, but TWO cats?

Silly, silly human!

Well...they never bother the plants, so.....

I moved the jigsaw and its board to the dining room table; it takes up about 1/3 of it. No problems except a) when I am doing the puzzle and Oscar wants headbumps, or b) when I am sitting at the table, and he lies down on his side - ON the puzzle - and does his cute chirp and twists his head around to be endearing...and moves the puzzle pieces...:D

Laughing right out loud! Cole -- excellent job of hampering!

"It is well known that humans are incapable of performing even the simplest of tasks without feline supervision and/or assistance. This supervision is absurdly known by the humans as "Hampering". Lie on the work in the most appropriate manner so as to obscure the maximum amount, or at least the most important part." -- Hampering, from Harold Reynolds' Basic Rules for Cats Who Have A House To Run, at badpets.net

Yeah... can't see me ever completing any puzzles in my house. Cardboard is meant to be chewed on and jumped in and on, and lord knows what else. Actually putting it together to make something??? Not even a chance!

Love the last pic. It's as though Cole is saying "I love my new comforter." :p

Exactly! I can see them batting the pieces all over the place. I would never attempt to set out anything like that with Giz in the house, she would have them batted everywhere.
