Tonight my sister and I went out with our grandma to buy fabric and batting. I've really been wanting to make a kennel pad for Jersey, so that's just what I did.

Here is the result:

Unfortunately, I was short on fabric and it wasn't wide enough, which is why there is still a blankie in there as well.

This one is Molly's. She's getting crated again because she's starting peeing in the house.

Mickey seemed to deal with the flowers pretty well, but we promised him we would make him his own mat soon.

It cost less than $10 to make each of these. People get SO ripped off at the stores!

Nice project, and nice results. I agree Mickey - boys can like flowers, too!

LOL! The look on Mickey's face is priceless!

Great job!
I'd love to make a crate mat for Sierra but she has riped everything I've ever put in her crate!

How cute and creative! I'm jealous....can't sew a lick....If I tried to make one, people would think Boomer or Cassie had made it with their own little paws!

Looks great! I really like Jersey's. Dance wrecks everything that I put in her crate for her, otherwise I'd love to make a mat for her too.

Those are ADORABLE, Jessica! ;3 I always wanted to make cute beds for the boys... because they're so hard to find. I'm definitely not as skilled as you are, though.

Great job!

Hint: if you haven't already, run some stitching through the fabric AND batting. Otherwise, when you put them in the washer, the batting all bunches up. I learned the hard way.

LOVE your models!

Yep! My grandma taught me how to do that. Definitely a good idea! :)

If anyone is interested in one (I know they aren't that great), I am thinking about charging $15-20 depending on how thick you want the batting, and the proceeds will go to rescue.
