It is really hard posting these. It has been less then two weeks since Sassy Munchkin Snowball G. went to the RB. I am having an easier time. I do not cry anymore, but I STILL think about her constantly. I still hear the barking when I come home, I still hear the pitter-patter on the floor downstairs. I still love you, and I always will. You broke my heart, unintentionally, when you left. I thought I would share these last pictures. I am so thankful it was a gorgeous day out. We sat in the yard for awhile. I thanked her for everything and I told her how much I loved her and how great she made my life. We went over all the old memories. They didn't make me cry, they made me smile. :)

What a doll baby!!!!!!!! She had the best life with you and your family...it's so obvious! All of us who love our animals as much as PTers do KNOW the pain that is associated with loving so much. It is all worth it but that doesn't lessen the pain when it happens! I am so sorry for your loss! Thanks for sharing those :love:

I am glad you were able to post this thread. I have been wondering how you have been dealing. I am so happy to hear it is getting a bit easier for you.

I love how she still has that smile of hers, even in the last photos of her. I think that was one of my favorite things about seeing her pictures.. her smile. :] Eventhough her smile looked a bit weary in the end (I certainly can't blame her), the joy she had shines through. I have faith that you made the right decision. No doubt about it.

Thanks for making this thread. I will miss seeing that girl, but I will never forget her. I love how I feel like I have gotten to know a dog that I have never met that resided miles upon miles away. :]

(((Hugs))) and good vibes headed in your direction.

Oh yeah, I also forgot, I made a memorial video for her. It's kind of long though, and no there is nothing wrong with the music at the beginning.

This is always so hard because they don't have the same life span as us. What a sweetie! I know you miss her and will for a time to come. We wish her well as the Rainbow Bridge and have many fun, furry companions to play with. A large hug to you!

Thank you for posting these Alyssa. Sassy always looked like a puppy to me, just as she does in these pictures. That sweet little face is irresistible. I am glad you are doing better. Missing her will last for a long time and it is a normal thing.

I wish our pets could live longer. Sassy's last pictures are so adorable. Your favorite one is my favorite one too. It breaks my heart that Sassy is physically no longer on PT. But her spirit will be on this forum forever. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Wonderful pictures of Sassy. A great way to remember her sparkling eyes & cute smile. The one of you holding her is really special. She's still with you, you just can't see her with your eyes, you can still feel her with your heart.:love:

I didn't say anything before this because I thought I'd look like I wanted sympathy, but really...why does this thread barely get any replies? I have always replied to people's dogs, pets and even some cat memorial thread, every time it was a PT doggy. I didnt care when it was just some regular picture thread or anything like that, but this is my dog's last pictures. I've always replied to other people's and it just hurts me that this has so little replies, when I've ALWAYS supported people who's pets have died. Sorry just the way I feel.

I am not trying to start something but this is obviously something important to me that I chose to share. I understand some people don't have time, shouldn't be online at work, etc. But a little reply is better then nothing to me.

Oh Alyssa, I'm sorry you're upset about this.:( I'm thinking maybe it would have been better put in Dog Memorial? Threads get lost so fast in Dog General, perhaps many didn't notice it. {hugs}

I just got done watching your video of Sassy - wow - what a great testimonial to her and your mutual love for each other. She certainly was a special little puppy! I can't even find words to express the feelings I had watching that video of her. I guess it brings out what sweetness and cuteness she had in her. And you were a very special mom to her teaching her the tricks and taking so many wonderful pictures of her.

As to why people aren't responding - and I was planning on responding even before I read your post - I think this time of year is hard for everyone to keep up on Pet Talk. I know I am outside far more that I was in the winter and therefore am not on the computer much in the evenings. I am more of an outside person - I love my flower gardens and pond and would rather be out there than anywhere else. I have also noticed that some of the more "regulars" are not posting as much period - maybe for the same reason I am not or because of other situations. I know it is hard not to be hurt by the lack of responses because she was your very special girl. I also think that sometimes people don't know what to say or have time to read the post but not respond. I am not really supposed to be on here at work but I sneak every now and then. Actually my boss is out of the office today and has been some this week, so I have been able to respond more. If you look at how many people have viewed your post you should feel better. Over 400 people have read it!

I am very sorry for your loss and for your disappointment in the lack of responses to your thread.
