Our summer has finally hit us full throttle. The last 3 days have been brutal.
The 19th (4 days ago) we were getting nailed with rain. It had been raining everyday since the 7th. On the 20th we were in a different country. It started off with 35°C which is about 95°F. One the 21st the temp went up to 41°C or 106°F a 6 degree increase in one day. And today it was hotter still. Today was are you ready...48°C or 118°F!!! A 7 degree increase over yesterday and 13 degree increase in 2 days. The humidity is really nasty too. Even poor Artica didn't want to stay outside longer than it took her to pee. LOL She would run pee and run back to the door to get back inside where it was nice a cool with the A/C.

So what is everyone else summer like? Is it hot everywhere else or is it just us getting nailed?

Goodness! I feel very lucky that we are having a decent summer so far thus year. Today it was in the high eighties.. 88°F if I am not mistaken. This past week has been wonderful.
It looks like it might rain soon, though. I am sure we will get our faithful heat wave before too long. :]

Gosh, that sounds unbearable! I'm glad it has cooled down here, we have showers and a bit of thunderstorms now. We had our summer in week 23. ;)

It doesn't get that hot here. 27 is as high as Scotland gets, and it is nowhere near that at the moment. It has been really dry since April though, and we consider that a great summer!

Yesterday was 104 (40 celcius). Today feels about the same.

I have been sitting in the pool. Even that doesn't feel cool.

When I last looked, it was 97. Supposed to be a high of 99-100 all next week, no rain in sight.......I live in Dallas.

This past Thursday it was around 97, Friday was the hottest at 100-108 depending on where you live, Saturday it was 90-100 range. Finally today it's been in the mid 70's to mid 80's. I live on the 2nd floor and I don't have air conditioning so I've been wearing shorts and running the ceiling fan and 2 other fans nonstop. I feel so bad for my furkids though.:( I think that this week will be much cooler. I hope the weather people are right.:)

The usual 95 degrees with 150% humidity. I can't leave the house without being soaked in 10 minutes. That's with the coolest outfit I can find too. It's tortuous.

Played golf today and it was 109 f. After I put a second ball into the water hazard on the 10th I was more than tempted to go in after it .

Not hot at all where I live. today is around 20°C. But as for you, we have a crazy wheather. One day can be really cold and the next day will suddenly be 10°C warmer!

Poor you! I love heat during summer, but 48 is definitely too much!!

So far, June has been really pleasant here. The first few weeks were perfect, with daytime temps in the upper 70s and low 80s. The last few days it's been a bit warmer- high 80s, but that's not too bad here. We have virtually no humidity so it's only a little too warm. The main thing is we could use some rain!! :) Our temps also drop at night into the 50s-70s.

We can also have very changeable weather here. Since we are only about 15 miles east of the Rocky Mountains it is not uncommon for an early or late snow storm to hit in the spring or fall. When this happens, it is usually well into the 70s the day before- and then we wake up to a blanket of snow!

Sorry to hear about everyone's unbearably hot weather. I hope it gets better soon!
