4 Dog Mother

I have posted here before - we can't add cats to our household for 2 reasons - Carl and Christy are allergic and we have 8 dogs here with most not having been around cats before. So I get my kitty fix from my sister who just added a new one she named Harley.
My older sister lives in the country near some farmhouses and people are always dumping cats in her area. She and her husband have set up dog houses on the front porch with lights to keep them warm in the winter and put out cat food. If they are friendly and they can catch them, she takes them and has them fixed so they won't have more kittens. However there are often new littlers since some of them are very feral. Anyways we went there for Father's Day. A new cat had been dropped off - this one had obvioulsy been someone's pet because he was very friendly. Unfortunately many people drive very fast down there road since it is in the country and sometimes cats get hit. So the ones that seem like they were just kicked out of a home, Barb tries to find new homes for. It didn't take much to convince my brother -in-law Joe to add this one to their four. He loved to sit on Joe's lap and just be petted. And Julia can't stand to think that a cat that friendly might get hit so Welcome to Your New Home Harley!
