I saw on the news yesterday *I think*... that somewhere in the world...ok bear with me cause I´m so out of my mind right now.. LOL

the thing is they cloned a labrador retriever that was able to smell cancer... and they had this cute chubby lil 4 black lab puppies... in the hopes they can smell cancer too...

cloning is a serious matter... but where do you stand in this case??....

would it be a good thing if indeed this virtuos pups could help humanity??

would it still be so wrong even if it did some good??

I´m still not sure what to think of it... sooo.... what´s your input

I'm not sure why they need to be cloned to be able to do this. I've seen stories on TV where they're doing it already, w/out the cloning.

I had not heard this story, but animal clones have not yet been very successful - look at Dolly the sheep ... the earliest, highly touted example of a clone, died young.

I think science would be better served figuring out how dogs smell cancer, and finding more with that ability, than cloning one who does.

I agree. Find the gene, and figure out how to test for it, and selectively breed the old-fashioned way. May take longer, but has thousands of years of success.
