We are happy to own a wonderful and smart american bulldog lady named "babe".
Even though she has our kids and other dogs to play with, she needs a playmate to keep her company.
Because we like the breed so much, we would like to give a second lady a home.
she has to be no older then 6 month, good with other dogs and young children.
we are willing to pay up to $200 for a pup with papers, even though papers are not a must.
If you know anyone who would like to find a new home for such an animal send us an e mail.
Breeders are welcome also.
Thank you very much.

West Highland White Terriers are my favourite. I have just got my first Westie puppy, Dougal and he is my pride and joy. Even when he chewed a brand new pair of shoes he still managed to make me smile, eventually. He absolutely loves our cat, and they love sleeping in front of the heater together

My favorite was something I never thought I could choose. Always a big dog lover, but I melt into a warm puddle of love for any cold-nose-in-my-hand. But a favorite has arrived!Not a big dog but a big dog in a small package-my purebred fawn colored PUG--Puggie [it was not my name choice-I adopted her from a breeder and she'll answer to no other]. My new husband started out disliking "dogs-in-the-house" in general but she has won him over completely with her loyalty to me,defense of me[yes really,full attack posture and charging], and constant companionship. When I platfully suggested that we try another toy breed after Puggie "goes to her maker" he replied "oh NO, we have to get a black pug this next time" Puggie and I have been exchanging secret smiles ever since! :}

My favorite breed has to be the Papillon. They are beautiful, intelligent, lively, easy to train, easy to groom, have no doggie odor and very little dander (for the allergy sufferers out there), are inexpensive to feed, are inexpensive to take to the vet, are wonderful and loyal companions, and very easy to clean up after. For those people who like to do activities with their dogs, they excel at obedience, agility. They are in the top five breeds of dog selected for agility and the number one toy dog based on points and titles earned in obedience. They are very good in public and are, therefore, easy to take with you. And what a personality! They have this look that just screams "Come and say hi to me!" All this and you can control the dog with one finger in the leash loop when they pull their hardest. This may be the ideal breed!

I do not, however, recommend the dog for people with insecurities or with small, unruly children. If you feel that you need a dog for personal protection (and I pity you if you do) or to boost your macho image, this dog is not for you. This dog will alert you to intruders, but the intruder would have to trip over the dog for the dog to be effective. The dog will attract all kinds of kind, dog-loving people, including attractive women and men whichever you are interested in meeting (kind of counteracts the necessity for the macho dog, huh?) Small children also have a tendency to literally break this dog due to its fine bone structure. This isn't a problem if you can train your kids...

My favorite type of dog is a Shih Tzu. I have one that is/was the runt of the litter. So, she is half the size she is supposed to be. She only weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. She is black and white and I named her Gizmo. Gizmo is such a character. She doesn't realize that she is a dog. :Þ

GOLDEN RETRIEVERS ARE THE BEST!!!! NO OTHER DOG CAN MAKE THE CLAIM OF BEING 100% PURE GOLD. NOT 24 OR 14 CARAT BUT 100%. I JUST LOVE THE GOLDENS http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

I love Golden Retrievers too. I must because I have two of them. But, I must say that my feelings about mixed breeds are real positive too. You can read about my escapades with a stray that started last Friday in the Dog Rescue section. It is titled "Unexpected surprise". That little mixed up baby has won my heart. His home won't be with me, but I have definitely found a good one for him. I think he will be very happy. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Mixed breeds usually are the most loving and responsive, but the purebred award has to go to Golden Retreivers. They seem to be happy all the time, always well behaved and continuously in love w/people and life in general!

...all creatures great and small...I love them all.

We have a Bassett Hound named Daizy. She is almost 10 mos. old. She is a big hand full. For one she thinks she is a lap dog, weighing in at almost 50 lbs. Second, she thinks the cat is also a dog. Having her has been very stressful, and has turned our lives upside down on a daily basis, but I don't think we would change it.

Border Collies, Border Collies, and nothing but Border Collies! I am the proud owner of four beautiful Border Collies...Elmo, a sable and white male; Ditto, a black and white female; Zen, a red and white male; and Echo, a tricolor female. The thing I love the most about Border Collies is their intelligence and the fact that you very rarely see two BC's look the same. Tailsawaggin! As much as I totally agree with lhg0962 about retreivers (hi Logan)I must admit that BC's take my breath away! Ilove to watch them at agility and the few I've met have been so smart, I feel like a real human dummy, they sort of looked at me and said "pushover"! LOL!!! in fact the other night, the old movie "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" was on and I instantly remembered I had fallen in love with the dog and years later when I became a fanatic, I realized it was Mike the BC, the scene stealer. The other day at work, the United Way was here and I immediately spotted a BC (urging people for have their dogs visit hospitals-I didn't really ask, I just sat next to the dog) and commanded her and rubbed her-the owner was quite surprised that the dog took to me right away, so natch! I was in 7th heaven. Of course late from lunch-1/2 hr- so my dog loving boss forgave me and I didn't have to make up any late time! Some things are just more important! Anyway..Lucky you!!!!

Hey all! 'I Love My Aussie' here (formerly known as blue_heeler)! My favorite breeds are the herding breeds because they are the instinctively and obediently the smartest dogs. I love ALL herding dogs but mainly Australian shepherds and Australian cattledogs (red heelers and blue heelers). I own an Australian shepherd, but he lives with 6 red heelers (2 adults 4 pups). I will have pictures of the pups posted by Monday 5/21/01.

My favorite dog is the Schnauzer, mine at least - don't like anybody, are very independent, will not obey only when they feel like it, want to play when you want to sleep, would run like the wind away from you if they get the opportunity, not too happy to be leashed, don't like to heel, does love to ride and go to the park. What more could you ask for in a dog. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
