I just came from PetsMart & while they totaled my order I noticed one
employee at the next counter picking up goldfish from a container &
putting it into another container with a toad. The guy said they were
"feeder fish" :( It almost make me sick. Do toads really eat goldfish?

Some toads/frogs will eat just about anything they can fit in their mouth. :]
I fostered an Ornate Horned Frog who was like that. They are allot of fun, but their appetite can keep some people away.

Really? This toad was a good sized one but didn't seem at all interested
in the fish. The fish was frantic because there wasn't much water in the container & the PetsMart person kept trying to move it closer to the toad.:(

I felt like saying something to them but they seemed to be doing it for a
customer. There was a couple waiting for the toad.

Yep, most toads and frogs will eat anything that will fit: even birds, mice, and other frogs. I can't imagine a toad in a container would be much interested in eating anything though.

I don't understand how an animal eating food it needs to survive is sad.
