I had been out with a friend, and got in later than usual. I fed the girls and went to get the mail. I opened the front door, and Tabitha slipped out without my knowing it!:(

My friend and I continued our visit, and after about 1/2 an hour, I realized I hadn't seen Tabitha anywhere. I checked in all of her normal hidey holes, but no Tabby. I walked into the living room, happened to glance out the front widow in time to see her beautiful loooong tail as she jumped from the bushes onto the front porch! I opened the front door, she looked at me as if to say "about time you realized I was out here and let me in.", and walked inside and went to bed!:confused::eek::confused:

:::note to self::: whenever you open the front door, watch for furfaces to rush out!

Glad she was waiting for you to let her back in! My Moonie never goes far and sometimes I find him staring at me through the sliding glass door. Bean, on the other hand, would be gone for hours and I would get no sleep :)

It is always a good idea to do a "bed check" when retiring or leaving the house!

Good girl, Tabitha!! Don't slip out again!

My Tazmo did the same thing last night. I accidentally left the slider open to chase Zoee and forgot about it. I came into the bedroom about 5 minutes (maybe longer) later and he was just walking back in the door. I think he even accidentally turned on the sprinklers in the flower bed. LOL
Thank goodness for Tabitha's fluffy tail!! :D :D

Well, now she has had that little adventure, I sure hope she doesn't make a habit of it! Glad she stuck around and came right back inside.

Filou is a specialist for just sliding out in invisible mode:p I am glad it's only the staircase he can get into.
I am always afraid that an inside cat can get scared while outside and then run and hide.
Good Tabitha is back :)
