The berry tree in the corner of my yard had fruited!

LOL, For years I have picked the berries off the tree and eaten them , but have no idea as to what they are.

Tomorrow I will post a detailed description of what the tree and fruit look like so someone can tell me what they are!

In the mean time, I got pancakes, waffles, bacon and some sausage going-Coffee and Kahlua/Bailey's anyone?:D

Sounds good to me, barkeep!

How about using some of the berries to make some compote for the pancakes?

Or I can just supply some nice fresh maple syrup (The syrup is even Lady approved!)

"From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Compote is used in a number of cultures to define different dishes. Common preparation of a compote is a cooked dish of fresh or dried fruits (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit), simmered whole or in pieces in a sugar syrup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_syrup). A compote can also refer to a game meat dish containing rabbit, pigeon or partridge, cooked in a roux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roux) for a long time over low heat with bacon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacon), and pearl onions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onion) until the meat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meat) has completely cooked to a fine texture. A third type of compote is a drink (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drink) made in Eastern European (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Europe) countries from dried fruit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dried_fruit)simmered (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simmer) in water and sugar and set-aside to infuse flavors until ready to drink."

Sure those aren't those phony bills they found out here in Lost Angeles?;)

These guys were apparently good!
They went to Staples and bought all the paper and ink cartridges there.

The funniest part of the story was the fact that the counterfeiter recycled the old ink packs!

Ring around the mulberry bush, the moneky chased the weasle! Can't remember the rest but they all fall down! :D

Birds are specially fond of mulberries then flying over cars and ... bombs away. Leaves a lovely purple splat on the cars. ;)

Mom would never let us eat the mulberries that grew around where we grew up. She said they were wormy ~ :D

Barkeep - could you watch out for the really fancy cake that will be delivered today for LH's birthday?

Yeah, the one will all of those candles on it. Get out the fire extinguisher just in case.

KlamJuz - nice of you to drop by here - why don't you sign up - the fee is one (clean) joke.

Richard, KlamJuz has requested a shot of bourbon. Can we serve before the joke or only afterwards?

No, mulberries grow on a tree, and there are no thorns. Blackberries are more closely related to raspberries.

Now, it's Lady's Human's birthday, so I figured I'd bring a coffee ring to share with everyone. It is the birthday "cake" replacement of choice for several members of my family, Lady's Human included.

No, it does not contain coffee. It's a traditional Swedish thing, served WITH coffee. (Like any traditional Swede thing isn't served with coffee?)

I'd guess one is normally enough to serve about a dozen people, or my two brothers!

Lady's Human

Add to the coffee ring a chocolate cake with chocolate/caramel icing, brew up a pot of coffee, get plenty of Irish at the bar, and it's all good!

(Even if I am typing this from work):p

To correct you - it's in Ring Around the Rosie that "they all fall down,"

The mulberry bush one I remember well is:

All around the mulberry bush
The monkey chased the weasel
The monkey thought t'was all in fun
Pop! goes the weasel!

(In fond memory of Mario)

Okay - one clean joke. It might not be P.C., and, like me, it's older than dirt.

A plane is on its way to Detroit when a blonde woman in economy class gets up and moves into an open seat in the first class section.

The flight attendant watches her do this, and politely informs the woman that she must sit in economy class because that's the type of ticket she paid for.

The blonde replies, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Detroit and I'm staying right here."

After repeated attempts and no success at convincing the woman to move, the flight attendant goes into the cockpit and informs the pilot and co-piolet that there's a blonde bimbo sitting in first class who refuses to go back to her proper seat. The co-pilot goes back to the woman and explains why she needs to move, but once again the woman replies by saying, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Detroit and I'm staying right here."

The co-pilot returns to the cockpit and suggests that perhaps they should have the arrival gate call the police and have the woman arrested when they land. The pilot says, "You say she's blonde? I'll handle this. I'm married to a blonde. I speak blonde." He goes back to the woman and whispers quietly in her ear, and she says, "Oh, I'm sorry," then quickly moves back to her seat in economy class.

The flight attendant and co-pilot are amazed and ask him what he said to get her to move back to economy without causing any fuss.

"I told her first class isn't going to Detroit."
