3 lil' kits found in an attic.....UPDATE POST #33-MORE PICS!!

A lady called my rescue today saying her brother found 3 baby kittens in his attic. No sign of mama. I went and picked them up. They are about 3 wks old, as their teeth are starting to come in and they are very mobile. They won't eat from the bottle, so I am syringe feeding them until I can take them to the vet in the morning (they are closed on Wed). They are weazing a bit, so I am sure they will need meds. They did eat a little of the canned kitten food I offered them...or at least tried to! With out further ado....here they are. I have not named them yet, so suggestions are welcome.

When I hand raised kitties, one of the pairs was brother and sister, and the brother tried nursing from his sister, except he would nurse on her... ahem... girly parts. You can obviously see the problem with that. Talked to the vet about it and she just strongly advised keeping close supervision and stop the behavior if you see it happening. As long as he isn't sucking any urine or feces out of her and ingesting it it may not be as problematic as it was with my two.

Thank you everybody for all your nice comments and great name suggestions. I have chosen Karen's names...Conan, Guinevere and Fiona. I think they are all very strong names and these babies are fighters!!

Freedom...I am guessing they got in through an open window or some sort of vent...remember this is just what she is telling me, it may be the truth, it may not. I am just glad she called me!

Cassiesmom....I remember 3's company!! Shows my age too!! I already used names from Charlie Brown, but thank you.

Jessika....I am keeping a good eye on them. We had the same problem with some kits we rescued last spring, except it was 3 males suckling on one poor lil' girl.

I will post more picture in a day or two.

Those sweet, adorable little babies made me turn to mush on the floor! They just couldn't be any cuter. Praying that all goes well with the whitecoat, mommycat will return healthy and sound, and this kitty family will find their way to a loving furever home that meets PT standards very soon. ;)

I just had to come by again for another dose of cuteness overload from those adorable little babies! How are they doing? Any sign of mommycat?

The babies are doing very well. Sorry I did not update sooner, just been crazy busy!! All 3 babies eat from the bottle now. They have started to use the litter box and even poop now!! When I took them to the vet on Friday, she cleaned them out with a q-tip to help them pass their stool and it has seemed to work. They also had a slight URI, so they are on Clavamox to treat it. No sign of the mom yet, but I think the kits think I am mom! They know it is feeding time when they see me with the bottle now....and boy do they love that bottle! My vet said they are about 3 wks old which was my guess. They are very playful and my boys love them. Even my pup, Scruff, is in love with them. I will take some new pictures tomorrow and post them. Here is on my son snapped of his favorite lil' guy! He snagged my camera and took this picture yesterday. He really likes this guy!

Just thought I would drop a couple of pics for you all!! Here is Conan and Guinevere....Fiona just would not sit still for the pictures the other day!! I will take more tomorrow and post them for you. I am thinking they are about 4 or 5 wks as they walk great, jump around, rub all over me during feeding, and have eaten a little canned kitten food with formula. The vet seems to think so as well. Their URIs are just about gone!! They are so funny and getting SO BIG!!
