It'll be easier to guess once we see pictures! The length and shape of her muzzle will be a good clue ... and her fur texture, though at this age, anything can change! :)

Well, I'd love to upload some pictures but for some reason...it won't let me. Any ideas / suggestions?

Yup! There's a whole thread explaining how! See Phred's tutorial here! (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=7406)

It's soooo hard to tell this young because as a puppy ages and matures, different features will come out. Best time is to wait until your pup is closer to maturity and then playing the guessing game. :)

How much does s/he weigh and how old? That will help:)

So far, I'd guess she's a Shepherd mix! She's a beauty, that's for sure!

I think she looks like a Lorgi (lab/corgi...haha).

Oh! I'd definitely say Australian Kelpie!! A friend of mine has one and they are incredibly intelligent dogs. Beautiful too!

It is hard to tell that age. Her hair may get long as she gets older. But, omgoodness, I really do think she is one of the cutest pups I have ever seen. :D I would love to see more of her.

Maybe a Belgian Groenendael crossed with a lab? But I still think Kelpie. :)

I was going to say Kelpie also. She is adorable, I bet she's a handful! Love those ears.

Your not in australia by any chance? she looks like one of the many 'working mixes' (Kelpie, Border Collie etc).

Definately not in Australia. Wouldn't mind going there though.

Hmm scrap the Border Collie x Kelpie idea then ;).

Oh, no, but a lot of farms/more rural areas here have a lot of Kelpies. Kelpies aren't uncommon here. More than once I've been contemplating adopting one :D

That said, I think your pup looks a lot like a GSD/Aussie mix (just going off more common breeds).

Hmm scrap the Border Collie x Kelpie idea then ;).

A good friend of mine has a Kelpie. We live in British Columbia. They are available in the States and in Canada, they just originated in Australia. :)

Kelpies are actually pretty common in places other than Australia :)

Dear Chris and Lindsay,
I think that puppy's face is so cute! That puppy looks like a Affenspinscher- Chihuahua mix, Maybe even some Italian Greyhound? How tall is she to the shoulder? How much does she weigh? I'm guessing toy breeds because I am crazy for them, I have a Yorkie named Tanner Black. (He was dog of the day yesterday, May 15, --08)
