Hey PT!
I am trying to post a picture thread, but I am having trouble using Photobucket since some recent changes. Is anyone out there in PT land still using Photobucket?

The 'edit' function menu is all new and jazzy. However, it doesn't seem to be be resizing my pics! I click resize, then choose message board (640 x 480), and finally hit apply. It seems to work, but then when I go back to the album and come back to see the pic....it has reverted to it's original size (768 x 1024).

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Maybe it's just time for me to learn how to resize photos some other way. I don't have PS or anything.

I'm using Firefox, so maybe I'll try it in IE and see if that makes a difference...

Help!

Had the same problem last Saturday. Sat and resized almost 40 photos, and NOT ONE took. Sigh. I use Firefox as well.

There is a free software mentioned in this thread where I posted asking for help, check into that! See post 10 specifically, AND Phred's caution right after.

I haven't had a chance to try it as yet.

Just a *thought*, since I haven't used PB in ages, but does it give you a code after resizing? It may just be giving you a link *to* a resized image for use on message boards without actually altering the original; I know Zoto did that :)

I use Photobucket on Firefox (use to be I could only use it on IE, but that doesn't work well any more).

Anyway, have had no problems so far....

You have to click both apply, then save. When you click save, it will give an option to create a copy or overwrite the original. If you don't see that message before you go back, your changes aren't kept.

Aha, that's the ticket!! :) Thank you, Tamara.

I clicked "overwrite original" all 40 times. Not one took.

Did you click apply first? You have to do both steps or it doesn't work.

I have a paid photobucket account, so I'm not sure if this still works for the free accounts. If you open the pic, instead of clicking edit from the thumbnail, you can still use the old resize button.

I have a paid photobucket account too, so that might be why it works for me, I'm not sure....
