Did anyone read this article on Yahoo about breeders creating "designer" cats that sell for $22,000? I have to say that I find the whole thing very disturbing. With all the stray and abused animals out there that need a loving home I just don't get why anyone would want to fork over that kind of money for a new "it" pet. I just don't understand.

That's almost 20% of the yearly budget for the cat rescue I work with. :(

remember the California Spangled, the one that was sold in Neiman Marcus Christmas book? No, thanks ... I'd rather have a shelter cat!

That's like our corporate rewards book that I went off on 2 years ago, referring to dogs as "trophies".
