I have a question. What does did you give?

BraveHeart is 6.5 pounds and the vet said the Pepsid could help his appetite (because cats with kidney failure feel nauseated---which I did not know)

So how often and how much have you used for your cats???

Thanks.

That's about what Beau weighed. I gave him one quarter of a tablet once a day.

Jen, our Norton and Riley get a quarter tab of 10 mg.pepcid twice a day about 15 - 20 minutes BEFORE they eat. I use the generic " Famotidine 10 mg" that is sold at ShopRite. A bit cheaper....It seems to help to settle their stomachs....Good Luck!!!!!!!

I give Mitzi 1/4 tab as needed for tummy upsets, which is so rarely I don't remember the last time I gave it to her, but it worked.

Hi Jen,
Kelcee will be 19 next Monday and takes 1/4 every morning of the 10 mg. pepsid. She has for a long time now. She also takes 1/4 cyproheptadine, (4 mg tab)which in humans is an antihistamine , but for cats is an appetite enhancer. Along with those she takes 5 mg prednisone twice a day , also to make her hungry, and 1/2 5mg benazepril, for humans is a high blood pressure pill. This combination has helped, along with a rotisserie chicken every 5 days, for her to gain 3 pounds and be a whopping 9 pounds at 19 years old.
