Dasher is so spoiled! My brother is here working on mom's computer. He popped a bag of popcorn (one of Dasher's most favorite things) so naturally Dasher proceeded to follow him to the computer. I told Dasher to follow me and I'd pop him some. Otherwise, he'd have been stuck to my bro like glue. So, we're having a snack bag now. I don't give him much at all so it's really a treat. He's on the bed with me with his head propped on my knee. He's so cute. I took a pic with my cell that I'll put up later tonight.
On a side note, I told him yesterday that when I woke up, I'd take off his bite not collar to see how he did. I got home this morning and it was already off. I thought mom had removed it. Well, somehow Houdini Dasher got that thing off without undoing anything! I think it was when he slept on his back. Those straps slip off his elbows really easy.

LOL, too cute. Dasher has you well trained.

I've had very little luck with the bite-not collar. Anvik gets out of it with great ease! It worked better a bit better on Kayleigh.

Dinner time for the dogs is down right embarrasing, I sit in the middle of the couch, casey gets her bowl of kibble to my right, Bubba gets hand fed to my left

:D Not laughing AT you but WITH you. :) I have been known to feed them some kibble on my bed at night if they look hungry. Yep, the bowl gets put down right on my bed. :)

Val, I had a standard poodle years ago (Whitney) who would sit so patiently and wait for hubby to offer her little pieces of popcorn. She would sit still as a statue and occasionally a little bit of drool would come out while she waited. Never had a dog drool before, except for her. :)

I love your stories! Glad to know I'm not the only one. I will admit I've never fed him his kibble in bed :p Now, he's all stretched out with his head propped on my leg, snoring. I've got one of those memory foam mattress covers to make sure he's extra comfy.

Pam: that is funny!
Caseysmom: You're really well trained
Glacier: I guess he'd just decided he had enough. He's been really good about it. I just hope I don't have to use it again as it might not work.

It was nice of Dasher to save you the trouble of taking the bite not collar off. See he was trying to spoil you by giving you less to do in the morning. :)

They are spoiled. Mostly when it comes to treats.

Even though my dogs are always looking for a hand out, there are certain foods which MUST be shared. Popcorn is one of them as well as apples and bananas.

Spoiled? Ours? Never!

Duke and Bull just get to sleep in the bed with their own pillows. Heaven forbid you have adjust or roll over in bed with Bull, he'll groan and grumble forever afterwards.

Same here. :) Buddy's favorite was popcorn. Both Smokey & Maggie's is
Ritz crackers. They love them as a night time snack before bed.

spoiled? nawww they arnt spoiled, I mean common the designer collars are manditory, and they obviously need a healthy selection of leashes. a whole cabnet of grooming supplies? well thats just good hygene. a selection of coats and boots? hellooo it gets really cold here! sleeping on my bed? well duh, how else am I supposed to keep warm at night? raw food? what else would I feed them? lol

really though, I think my dad spoils Guinness more then my guys are spoiled, I mean he takes that dogh everywhere, everytime he goes shopping the puppy gets a new toy, he goes to work with my dad, he is the mascot of my dads store, gets to be the finnish line mascot at marathons, when he goes on runs if he gets tired my dad will pick him up and carry him the rest of the way...

Lol This is a great thread, Reilly would surely tell you if you could understand him that he is certainly not a dog!!!!! I truly have never had one that is so much like a child at all. Spoiled......ohh my word, he loves cheese, pringles and popcorn, but does not get those that often, every once in a while, but gets plenty of other treats a day, goes to daycare, goes for rides with me or jeff, if we are on the computer or trying to read or just whatever when he wants attention he gets it, most of the time he just wants you to sit on the sofa with him and be near him....lol but he is certainly not spoiled...haha

What a great thread. Val, those pictures of Dasher are so cute. He loves his mom. And, his popcorn. ;) We give our three popcorn when we have it, too. We make it tons of fun, though, by throwing handsful of it in the air, like confetti, the dogs go looney over it. :) If we toss it to each dog, Finn and Freckles catch it pretty consistently. Dudley misses anything tossed at him almost every time, poor guy. hahaha

As for spoiled, they all get treated pretty well. They have their dog beds, but they sleep in our bed with us at night. Finn is the worst, David gets one side of the bed and Finn gets the other. I sleep sandwiched between the two of them. ;)

Finn gets super spoiled during Dock Dogs events, though, that's for sure. We'll probably end up getting some sort of heated pad for his crate. He gets towel dried and massaged after every jump, Zuke's Power Bones after each jump...and I lay in his crate with him sometimes, too.
