Here are some pics I took today of Izzy the cardinal. She is now about 9 months old and so adorable and sweet.

Yes she sings all the time. It is a very eerie voice that can be very loud at times. She will let you know when she is hungry. lol She is very tame she loves her head scratched and will just fall asleep in your hands or cuddled in your hair. She loves people. I have had her since she was 2 days old or so so she only knows people.

Oh, I just adore Izzy! :)
I saw a few cardinals out back at the bird feeders the other day and thought of your little girl. Though I did notice in a few of the photos that she doesn't look like she is standing properly. I'm sorry if I missed a thread explaining it or if I have just forgot, but does she have problems with her legs?
Either way, she's gorgeous.

I also saw cardinals out back today. They were in a bush mating and looking for a nest site. The males are so beautiful but the female was beautiful as well. Yes there is something wrong with her legs she is spraddle legged. She fell out of the nest and was on the ground for a long time. One of her legs are splayed out because the ground was so slick. They need the support of a nest for proper leg placement. She was also very cold and had to be placed in my incubater to be warmed up (she was in there anyways for 2 weeks) She gets along just fine though with her handicap, although her toenails have to be clipped regularly because of her foot placement.

She's so cute. I love her bright beak. I heard a cardinal outside this morning when I was still half asleep. The birds are returning to WI. The birds make this freezing weather more cheerful.
