His name is Dagwood, he's about a year old and was headed to Brightstar German Shepherd Rescue in New York.
My hubby and I drove him to Erie, PA on Saturday. Dagwood Loooooved my hubby. (he asked if we could switch dogs and put Buddy on the transport to Brightstar and keep Dagwood :p )
He was everybit as sweet as he looks!

Looks like he's saying "Please keep me" to my hubby!

I loved his cute little spotted feet! He also had little tufts of long fur above each nail.

I have yet been able to do a transport. Seems like I already have something planned that cannot be changed or something else comes up. Anyway, I love Dagwood - it is cool that he really liked Rick - it must be a downer for Rick sometimes that Buddy won't make up to him. I also think I might be a failure at transport. Some of the dogs I have seen being transport would never make it to the next stop if I was doing the transport and my husband would have left me by now!

He really is a cutie. And now he will get another chance at finding a great home (maybe even in Ohio, hint hint ;) ).

he's beautiful - and him and Sierra would look like a great pair! :)
I know you suffer from multiple shepherd syndrome - but you must have ignored the fever! ;)

Good for you guys, you've done a noble thing. What a handsome handsome boy! And SO sweet!

Poor Rick, it must have been hard to hand off a dog that looks at him like this.... (I don't think I could)

First thing I thought was that he looks a lot like Sierra with his dark mask. Those spotted pawsies are adorable! Good thing you got pictures.

I wonder how long until we see a welcome home thread? :)

Dagwood is a beautiful dog and looks to be so loving. Thank you for helping with his transport.

LMAO!! I made sure I was heavily medicated before I picked him up in order to not give in to the fever Staci! :p

No.. there won't be a Welcome home thread!
I don't find it all that hard to hand them over. I'm sure it's because I know they already have homes or foster homes waiting for them! That's easy for me to say today, I just got an e-mail about 4 GSD puppies coming through this weekend!! AHHH!!
