Meet my new Betta kids... :)

I got two new Bettas today!

I was waiting for my sister at the dentists office and there's a PetSupermarket next door. I mistakingly decided to go look around. Well, they had a yellow Betta and this awesome orange/peach colored one.

I bought the yellow one and had them set him aside so I could come get him later (my sister and I had somewhere to go.) Well, I kept thinking about the orange one and how I really wanted him too. So, he came home too!


I went and bought a 5 gallon tank and had a 2 gallon already. The peach/orange one lives in the 5 gallon and I might get a couple others to join him. The yellows lives in the 2 gallon.


Anyhow, here are my two Bettas! Still thinking of names.

They are beautiful. I love that yellow one. He is so bright it almost hurts my eyes. I have 7 bettas. They are addicting I swear you can't have just one. :p I even have a bunch of babies right now. lol

How cool! I have never seen betta that color - but it fits, as they are Florida - the citrus state - fishies! Tangerine and Lemon!

Thought of Tangerine, but cannot do Lemon! Amy's Betta is Lemon. :)

I named my yellow betta Mango. Here he is picture was taken from above the water though.

They are gorgeous! Two of my favorite colors, I also like mustard gas which is like a brown with orange and purple fins. I think I'm going to get a betta this fall when I'm free to make that choice on my own, and I'm pretty sure it'll be one of those colors unless one just catches my eye. I have a tank set up in mind too. :p

WOW!! I've never seen such colors around here. All you find are red, blue, purple, or white. :D

Kay they are gorgeous :D. Sadly we only realy get reds, purples and blues here as well :(.

As for names ....

Yellow boy - Blain - Means yellow in Gaelic.

Orange boy - Alani - Means orange or orange tree.

I still haven't named them but wanted to come back and tell you all about the orange/reddish boy's impressive bubble nest. It's HUGE and is about 1 and 1/2 inches tall. I'll try to get a pic of it.

He's certainly happier/more active in his big tank compared to the other. Next paycheck I want to get the yellow one the same sized tank. :)
