This is embarrassing to admit, but today I managed to totally screw up
the settings on my new widescreen TV. I have no idea how it happened
really. I think when I picked up the remote, I pressed some buttons by
accident & ended up with a much smaller screen & closed captioning of all
the audio.

I messed around with the remote and got everything back to normal,
but I have no idea what I did to cause it or to fix it. :o

Oh gosh, I've done that before... and tried to figure out what I did. I pressed and pressed but just made the situation worse with every button I pressed. :o I turned it off and hoped it would fix itself. :p

Finally, my husband came home and I knew it didn't fix itself.

I could here the rant from the other room...

 WTF.... Carmen, what did you do to the TV?

:) Ooops

It's time to read the manual. :) That's what worked for me.

Story of my life. With computers and cell phones giving me enough grief, now I have added my flatscreen to the mix.

If you need tech support, go into the owner's manual that came with the tv and there should be a toll-free number that might help. They may even be able to walk you through it.

Turning it off & on again did occur to me, but I didn't really think it would
help anything. I tried to figure out which buttons I had hit.
I kept looking for the "Dummies" button. :D This remote can do about every
thing but make toast, so I guess I will have to sit down with the manual
& test it all out sometime when I'm not in a rush.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one that's had a problem. :)
