I saw a lovely story on the BBC's website about a collie that has learned how to work the release mechanism on the chair lift, rides up the hill, and runs back down in the snow. :D

Guinness the dog (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/7251195.stm)

"Guinness, a four-year-old collie, leaps into the air and grabs hold of the lift with his teeth at the Glenshee Ski Centre, then hitches a ride.

He then decides when to jump off, before running and skidding downhill.

He is owned by Graham McCabe, managing director of the ski centre, who said: "Guinness is slightly mad and very cheeky, but also extremely clever."

Mr McCabe said: "He has actually figured out how to work the release mechanism and go up the mountain whenever he wants.

"He will hang on for a while and go up for as long as he feels like it. He either goes all the way to the top or gets bored and drops off into the snow and runs back down to get another one.

"But when it's busy the lift instructors have to keep an eye on him and make sure he's not getting in the way too much."

He added: "He is a very nice dog, a real character. He is a great favourite with everyone who comes up here."

One snowboarder, Dave Edwards, said: "Guinness is just amazing. He's so entertaining when you're waiting for a lift or going down a run.

"The first time I saw him hanging I couldn't believe it - I thought I was hallucinating."

Clever pup discovered how to have a fun afternoon at the slopes. :)
I hope he doesn't hurt his teeth doing that though..
