Well dad let Boof out accidently when smokey was out. He didn't know Boof snuck out so he was out there for a coupe of hours.

I went out to cut some grass for my indoor guinea pig Sahara, and i saw a rabbit lying next to the step kind of lying on it's side. i thought it was smokey cause each rabbit has a sectioned off run of the backyard that we always put them in. When i got a little closer i saw it was Boof, and i picked him up. He was all floppy, i looked at his nose and there was blood all over his face. I ran inside with him, and gave him to mum, then quickly ran out to find smokey. Smokey was down the other end of the yard, and i grabbed him. he was floppy as well. he had blood on his face and side, but when i checked for wounds i found that it was Boof's blood. Smokey's only injury was that he lost a toenail on his back foot. i cleaned it up, then saw mum trying to clean up Boof. She was crying and couldn't do it. it was making her sick. She is usually good with injuries, but because Boof is technically her rabbit, she couldn't take it. i took Boof from her and told her to look away as i cleaned him up with salt water. There was a lot of blood. I found a big gash on his left nostril and a small cut just under his right eye. He also had fur pulled out from under his chin, plus his lip and nose are swollen. The worst of his wounds is his lip. Inside his mouth, the bottom lip has been ripped open and he cannot eat. We are not too worried about him not eating much, cause he has to lose weight anyway, but we will have to force feed him fluids. Boof is also on antibiotics, so it is even harder to get him to take it.

Here is a picture of Boof face while we were cleaning up all the blood.

Please pray for our bunnies, especially Boof who was sick to begin with and is very weak now. When dad came home he felt so bad.

We're sending lots of healing thoughts Boof's way!! It's amazing how vicious they can get if they don't like each other. Our Gustav is the sweetest bun around humans, but turns into a little devil once he meets another rabbit!

We hope Boof is feeling better soon!!

Poor boof!!! I would get him to a vet to get him checked out ASAP. My old rabbit Jaxom got attacked by my other rabbit Julian and he was in a lot of pain. The vet stitched him up, put him on antibiotics and pain meds. Poor Boof must be in a lot of pain. Also, it is necessary for a rabbit to be able to eat, it can cause serious harm to Boof's digestive tract if he stops eating. I would highly suggest getting him to vet as soon as you can!

Oh Boof. Oh Boof. Sweet precious boy you seem to just have such a run of bad luck. Sending kisses, and hugs and much love to you.

Thanks everyone. Well today he seems to big able to eat and drink which is great. He is still not very social, which is unstandable. We have an appointment with the vet on Saturday, so we will probably get them checked out together. We will be keeping an eye on his wounds and bathing them in salt water. if there are any changes, or if he stops eating, we will take him straight to our other vet. (The rabbit specialist is about an hour and a half away and is always booked up.)

I'm glad to hear Boof is doing better, and that he is eating and drinking! I remember when Julian attacked Jaxom I hated seeing my little boy injured and in pain.

Prayers for a fast recovery are on there way to your sweet little boy! I hope he feels like his old self again very soon!

Well Boof has been coming to me a lot lately. He follows me around everywhere and jumps on my lap when i sit down. Mum is not happy that i am getting all of her rabbits attention. lol. but she is just thankful that he is acting a bit more lively.

Oh that's so cute Sarah. Sounds like Boofy is a little love bunny. How is that cute little nose doing? Benny sends his best get well wishes to brother Boof. I held Benny last night and told him the whole story.
