I had someone tell me that my cat Buttermilk looks like a Ragdoll. Do traits of different cat breeds get passed down through generations?

Certainly Cats have thier characteristics passed from generation to generation depending of course on thier parenatge.
Is Buttermilk a passive Cat, as that is one of the characteristics of the Ragdoll.
Thats how they got thier name, they go limp when you pick them up.

Yes, it can be. Star is part Ragdoll. Her dad was a fullblood Ragdoll and her mom was a mix. She has the laidback personality traits as a ragdoll but not the markings.
