So I switched most of my gang over to Feline Pine a few weeks ago and I REALLY like the stuff (much easier cleanup). But for some reason they only seem to like it when it gets "fluffy", i.e. after it has adsorbed some pee and expanded into sawdust. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, not everyone seems "entralled" with the Feline Pine so I find "presents" outside the boxes, any suggestions about how to get them to use it?

I've used FP and my cats like it. There's another product called Woody Pet. It's the same thing only it's broken down into smaller pieces. That's what I use now. It could very well be when they try to bury their stuff, it flies outta the box. I know that's happened to me in the past. Woody Pet is what I've used the longest and have had no problems. You can get it at any Feed store (Agway) and it comes in 40 lb bags for $7.99. ALOT cheaper than Feline Pine. Feline Pine DOES come in a scoopable type as well. But the tracking is pretty bad.

Unfortunately I live in a pretty urban area (DC) and there are no feed stores around here, so I might have to continue using the Feline Pine.

But thanks for the information Donna

I tried Feline Pine, and theres just too many litter box users here and its fluffy in a night or two and doesnt cover the scent left by Miquelito, although I doubt anything would.
I use The Kozy Kitty , its 6 dollars for 44 pounds a bargoon!!!!

We like Equine Fresh, another feed store alternative, about $6 for 40 pounds. My monsters prefer it when it gets fluffy!

As for DC, I know that Booth Feeds carries Equine Fresh and has stores in NoVA. http://www.boothfeeds.com/
