Here's some photos I took of other various dogs today. Some of the Border collies are beautiful, especially the merles. i also saw some other dogs passing. A few of the dog walkers were on familiar terms with the flyball people and have obviously seen them training there before.

A woman came past with two beautiful Akita pups. They were 18 weeks old.

Oh my gosh, such beautiful dogs! Both those in flyball and the passersby. Did you get to run, or were you too busy admiring and snapping photos, lol.

I didn't run. I don't have a dog to run as Jess is too old for that stuff now.

Monty belongs to my sister so she ran him with help from others.

I was too busy snapping away. I'll not be able to go next sunday because I'm stuck at work but I do intend to get more photos...lots more photos...in future.
As the days get longer and the weather gets better, I'll have more light to get better shots. Only the pale dogs photograph fairly easily in low light like this.

There's already talk of me becoming the club photographer, lol. :D

This club only existed since September last year and the club founder used to be part of another team in the neighbouring city which this team has now overtaken in rank. This team are 18th in the UK whereas the Sheffield one is 43 or something like that. They have changed their training techniques and seem to be getting quicker results from them. Border collies are naturals anyway...doesn't take them long to pick things up. The main problem with BCs is their habit of finding sneeky cheats which have to be ironed out, haha. Monty was grabbing the ball in its hole and taking it out with his mouth without triggering the spring so we had to put the box there with the hurdle so that he didn't have room to stop and do that and had no choice but to jump onto the box and trigger it.

?Wow! Anna told me about this thread so I could see those gorgeous akita puppies. I'm so glad she did. The akitas look outstanding, but I have to say all of those gorgeous border collies make me want to run out and get one;). ?Those blue merle are simply stunning.
