Freyja!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/U2Q/Freyja/freyja08.jpg
At least that's what her name is as of today, I'm not sure if it will change. My friend Michele (Cisco's owner) just adopted her tonight. Isn't she adorable?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/U2Q/Freyja/freyja05.jpg
She came from a rescue who pulled her from a kill shelter. They said she was a GSD mix. Any breed guesses? She's about a year old, close to the same height as Keva but a smaller build. She needs to gain some weight, I bet she's only about 30 lbs right now, I doubt she'll be larger than 40.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/U2Q/Freyja/freyja01.jpg
She was a little intimidated by all the dogs at first
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/U2Q/Freyja/freyja02.jpg
But she warmed right up. Nebo and Keva both liked her, Keva wanted to play non-stop and even Nebo played with her for a while.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/U2Q/Freyja/freyja04.jpg
Cisco was pretty good with her too--he's jealous right now, I think he will grow to like her though. He didn't like Keva at all at first and now they get along fine.

And I have a few other random pics. Keva and Nebo playing with the loofa dog Kay gave them (she gave them other toys too, which they like, but this is their favorite).

I'd guess Shepherd/Greyhound, because of her build, which is much narrower than a GSD, but heavier than a greyhound. Her head is very Shepherd-like, but her coat is also lighter than a Shepherd's ... and her coloring is very similar to a fawn Greyhound.

She is beautiful! Congratulations to Michelle on giving this beauty a home!

I think I see some Collie in there. And maybe Shep. :-) But I see a Collie face!

WOW! What a gorgeous girl!!

I agree, the first thing I noticed was her slender head, long neck, long legs, and very slight build. She looks like a tall fox/coyote. So my vote goes for GSD/Greyhound, with something else in there too. She doesn't look like a 50/50 to me..

Especially in this picture:

*Thank you Keva for holding her ears back so we can see what she'd look with out erect ears!! :p *

She's too cute!!

Oh wow, I think she is so pretty and unique looking! I love seeing all the dogs together. Glad they all seem to be getting along. I hope you will make sure you get pictures of the new girl every chance you get and share them with us.

I'm thinking gsd for sure and probably collie or greyhound.

What a pretty girl. I am so glad Michelle could save this beauty. :) Nebo, tell Cisco that little sisters can be fun to have around at times. ;)

She is gorgeous! I would have to agree with the GSD/Greyhound with something else mixed in there maybe? She reminds me of Tasha a little bit.

Congratulations to Michelle! She looks like she has some greyhound for sure. what a pretty girl! The pictures of Keva chomping on her are so cute - she must be used to other dogs. Cisco will be happy to have a playmate, once he gets past being jealous.

Thanks everyone! Cisco is being pretty nice to her, he's jealous right now, but he'll get better I think. I was thinking GSD with some sighthound as well...I'd say whippet over greyhound though because of her size. I've never seen a GSD or a greyhound nearly that small. I think she has some other mixes in her too, she reminds me of a dingo lol.

She's a gorgeous pup! I love her name, it's beautiful like her. Can't wait to seeing HIKING pics of her. *hint hint* ;)

Oh, believe me, I'd be out there right now if I could....except well there's kind of a couple feet of snow covering all my hiking trails. ;) Michele has promised she'll hike Timpanogos with me and all 4 dogs this summer though. She may bring both dogs over to play in the snow tomorrow, if so, I'll take pics! :)

Oh what a cutie, she made me think of my Tasha right away too with her build and her face and her coloring. Tasha's mommy was supposedly a greyhound/shepherd mix and I can certainly envision her mom looking a lot like this beautiful girl. Can't wait to see more of her!

At first sight, she reminded me of binka_nugget's Keeva. Whatever mix she is, though, she's gorgeous! Neat name, too!

This is a picture of Tasha at 7 months old (pre-digital days for me).

Freyja looks like she has more shepherd in her but I do see similarities in sighthound traits. I've wondered before if Tasha's mother was whippet/shepherd because she's a petite girl too but I don't know what her dad's side contributed.

Anyway she's a cutie that's for sure!

What a cutie! :) I am guessing greyhound (probably the italian greyhounds which are smaller) and shepherd too. I love the pics of Nebo and Keva playing with the toy. :D

Beautiful girl! :D And congrats to her new mama!

She *does* look like a tall fox. XD I'd second the GSD/Greyhound mix. Although, one of my first thoughts was Lundehund (that's pretty unlikely, though).

Welcome, beautiful lady!! So nice to seee you.

I'm going out on a limb here and say there is some sighthound in her. :D

I agree about GSD/Greyhound. But there's definitely something else. Honestly... I want to say Coyote.

she is very pretty! I admit I also thought she looks like Tasha lol.

I see sighthound as well, those looonnng legs and lean body, nt to mention the face are pretty obvious lol. if she is too small for greyhound then I would say Whippet mix.

I am guessing greyhound (probably the italian greyhounds which are smaller)

Italian Greyhounds are TINY, they are the shivery little, barly larger the a minpin ones, the medium sized greyhound type dogs are Whippets not Iggies. :)

Thanks everyone! I agree, she does look like Tasha, especially that photo of Tasha. Both are beautiful dogs! I have some new pics, they'll be posted soon. :)

Giselle

How tall is Freyja (by the way, loving the name)?

Giselle is 26" and she's a pretty small greyhound girlie. Most people think she's a Whippet

Also, for some odd reason, big dog parents can often throw small dog babies. Weird genetics, weird diet, weird environment, who knows? For example, Ivy is a Dobie/Lab mix. At the smallest, Dobie females should be around 24"/60 pounds. At the smallest, Lab males should be around 23"/65 pounds. Ivy is only 22" and 45 lbs, and she wasn't the runt

Mixes are just really something else!
