Are these two in competition to see who can self-destruct first???

I hope both of these girls get the help they so obviously need before it is too late

I don't know about Amy Winehouse, but what I feel is so sad about Britney is that at one point she had it ALL!
She was taking the world by storm and could have been the next Madonna.
But then she let it all go to her head and lost everything. Including everyone's respect and she'll ever get it back.

Whinehouse, I don't know if she started out "normal" and flipped like Brit, or if she came onto the public scene just as screwy as she is now... no matter she is horribly screwed up!

Just goes to prove again and again.... people in their positions need to keep good people around them to keep them in line.

I keep hearing about Amy Winehouse... but have NO CLUE who the heck she even is. I know she sings... and shes from Europe... but that's it.

Ever since Amy Winehouse made that song "Rehab", I've lost all respect for her. I won't even comment on Britney spears.

Personally, I love her music and the contrast in pictures from her first CD to how she looks now is horrific. Such a waste - just like Britney

I went there and listened to some songs...

must say, can't STAND her voice. It sounds so boring and while it isn't terrible it definitely isn't good (of course all in my opinion). And her style... ugh. Her hair always looks terrible in all those pictures, like it hasn't been brushed, and in her music video too.

But that alone isn't enough to base judgement off someone's actions, I just know that I now don't like her as a vocalist :)

Each to their own and her hair does look like something has been living in it for weeks :D She reminds me of Janice from Friends "Oh my God".......but I still love the lyrics

I have wanted to hear her music as I see stories about her so often (What do you expect when you have a subscription to Hello???) Sad but now I understand the fuss! Wonderful!

But truely on a downward track -- fast...(according to Hello! ;) )

I love Amy's music. But have to agree she is a mess! And I give Britney two years to live if she keeps this up.

And how she used to look when she started out....

Oh my gosh... and she decided to go with the 50's hairdo why??? Damn! She looked fantastic in that photo. And here I thought she was just some drunk, drugged, wack job. Well, maybe she is now...

And Britney, well, you saw what that tarot card reader said, lol.

What makes anyone of you so "perfect" to pass judgement? God forbid, anything ever goes wrong in your life and the entire world knows about it. :(

I like her music too.

I feel really bad for them. One thing is to have issues in your life (privately) ... and another is to have them in public with everyone scrutinizing your every move. I really pity both of them. Down on luck and I bet the people that surround them didn't help any... probably contributed to thier problems.

None of us is passing judgement on either of them - well, that certainly wasn't my intention when I started the thread.

I am a huge fan of Amy's music and am distressed to see her and Britney fall apart so publicly - both of them need someone to take care of them and they don't seem to have them

This is actually the first time I've felt sorry for Britney.

Poor kid - no wonder she is such a mess.

Our Ms Winehouse finally put herself in rehab and when she leaves she is moving in with the Osbournes for a while. I thought this was a pretty daft idea at first but thinking about it I am sure if anyone can sort her out it will be Sharon!

She looked better than she has for months!

seems that her hubby has written a letter from prison begging her not to divorce him now she is thinking clearly.......

Go Amy!!

I'm so happy for her. Did you see how shocked she was when she won? I loved it. You don't see that too much these days. Everyone expects to win now and doesn't truly appreciate the awards.

And the first people she thanked were her Mum and Dad. Ma and Pa Spears - take note

Amy Winehouse's mum Janis's joy at her daughter's recovery

that is the title of the link that Brody's mom just posted and it made me LOL.

She just recently went into rehab and anyone thinking she can be "cured" so easily is deluding themselves. I wish both of those girls the best, but one or two weeks of sobriety is nothing yet. Being clean is a lifelong struggle.

Pawsitive Thinking

I don't think they are under any illusions....

"Amy's going to need support. You can never say someone won't return to drugs"

"The family know as a recovering addict Amy could be tempted back, but we're hoping now she's clean she'll stay that way."

althought I agree that she is far from cured

I met a gal last week who works at a restaurant in Hollywood-It rhymes with P.F. Whang's.

I asked her about who were the best and worst celebs that she's seen-
Allegedly, BS was in right after her release from the bin and she-
Smoked pot in the powder room, forgot to sign the credit card receipt and didn't leave a tip.

--------

That totally stupid look of amazement on AW's face when they announced her win was priceless....

Of course she's gonna get the pity vote. Natalie Cole was right on the money with her assessment.

And did anyone have the b*lls to ask her to leave??

I read that she also went into a clothes shop, yelled at the staff not to go any ****ing where near her then shut herself and latest boyfriend in the changing rooms for 45 minutes - why did no one throw her out?
