The other ones don't look bad but this one is just terrible looking.

He just looks like a puppy, that's all! He'll grown into that skin in time! (Mostly, anyway.)

To me he looks too long and his belly is almost to the ground, I know puppies have big baby bellies but that is rediculous..

Looks like his body is to big for his legs, but they all do. I don't know
much about English Bulldogs, but they don't look right to me. Reputable
breeders don't advertise their pups that way.

I added a picture of another Bulldog pup (just from google) of what I think they are supposed to look like.

He looks like a perfectly "normal" EBD to me. Having had a EBD as a puppy, yes, that's what they look like.

However, "normal" for an EBD is not "normal" for any other dog. They have, frankly, been bred for umpteen generations precisely FOR those abnormalities. There is nothing proportional, or quite frankly, healthy about them.

Don't get me wrong, I loved our EBD Rosie SO much. She was the sweetest dog in the world, and absolutely adorable in her own warped way. However, she died before she was two years old. Our vet said she had the lung capacity of a thirty pound dog. She weighed sixty pounds.

Basically, the exaggarated looks of the modern EBD killed her. I personally think its a cruel and terrible tragedy what we have done to this breed.

Well... On another board I am on there is a lady that has a show bulldog that she got as a puppy (obviously) and she looks NOTHING like that first pic and EVERYTHING like the second pic. there are certain standards for them and it is NOT the overweight, snorting snuffling, dragging around EBD's you usually see. YES it is true they don't really have a defined waist line but most EBD's are not up to standard. Her EBD is stunning.

YES I agree that the first pic makes that dog look really strange... BUT it could just be the picture.... who knows.

BUT yes the second pic is what an EBD is supposed to look like as a puppy
