It is the Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph Camera (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5623012)

I am thinking about getting it.. My mom got me a camera for Christmas, but the picture quality was poor, so after I tried it out she told me if I didn't like it, I could get a different camera. We both thought the one I got would be great, but for some reason it just wasn't.

If you have it, do you like it??

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Im in the market for an upgrade, too. I currently have the SD500 but am not happy with the indoor shots at all (with flash are good, but without are terrible). This seems to be the same line, and I DO like the SD series, the only downside was the poor indoor shots without flash.

So if anyone knows anything about the indoor pics... that would be my determining factor :)

I was looking into an S2 IS but I wanted something that was easier to carry around and fit in my purse, and the S2 series is a little too bulky for that. Considering I already have the XTi lol

Incidentally what was the camera you originally got?

I have (I think the newest edition) the SD750 Elph.
The indoor shots aren't that great with mine either unless there is alot of light.
If you change to ISO though to 1600 it makes the pictures clear and a little more light. They come out grainier but after you re size them they loose the grain. Outside I can zoom and have a action shot come out clear when the ISO is on auto.
The macro on it is AMAZING I love it.
This is a picture I took that was zoomed alot and the horse was walking.

That is the EXACT problem I have with my camera right now. I bought my youngest sister an HP digi cam for Christmas and before we wrapped it hubby and I Were playing around with it and it took AWESOME indoor low-light pics without flash. Definitely a humongous step up from my PowerShot, anyway. I'm still no fan of HPs and want to stick with Canon, my true love, but just need to find a happy medium lol

This is the Other camera (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7812582) that my mom had bought for me.

I have liked the Kodak's I have used in the past, and the on my mom has is exceptional. But from reading recent reviews, and from the experience I had with this one she bought me, I don't think I will be buying anymore Kodak cameras.

Ooooooh well THANK GOD I did not buy that camera for my sister for Christmas... that was one of the ones at Walmart that was cheaper than $100 I was gonna get for her but it was sold out in all the stores in my area... ended up getting an opened HP camera that was on clearance because it was a display model... MUCH better buy, IMO...
