I can use some info on a place called Greektown in Detroit. I'll be there on may 18th & 19th. This will be my bowling league's banquet. I'd like to know how nice it is and give me some general info. Thanks in advance.

David,

My SIL brought me there for my 50th birthday. I was fascinated by all the bling and stuff. You'll have fun.

They advertise it pretty heavily around here but I've never been. Supposed to be a pretty trendy and nice casino. Hope you have fun!

Thanks, sweetheart and Ramanth for the information. It sounds as if I'll have a real good time! I hope Detroit is ready for a busload of wild Lutherans!!

Greektown is a lot of fun. The casino itself gets quite busy, and definatley on Saturday night. On the second floor, there are lots of cheap slots, 1, 2 and 25 cents. Tables are a bit harder to come by, espically if you don't want $10 a bet!

There are several nice restaraunts connected to and across the street from the casino. Fishbones is a little pricier, but has great seafood. There is a little restaraunt connected to the Casino that has great Greek food (it is down by Cold Stone, but I can't think of the name). There is a WONDERFUL! bakery across the street. Even if you aren't hungry, get your self something to take home! Next to that there is another small restaraunt that has really good Chicago style pizza. On another corner, there is a Mexican restaraunt that I have not tried the food, but does have good drinks. Sounds like I am a regular, but I actaully have only been there 4 or 5 times!

Have fun, and if you need anymore info, let me know!

Lutherans? They'd better add more security.
