Please, Graphics people and others

Please do not start a new thread every time you want someone to make you a signature graphic or an avatar, or each time you want to volunteer to make one for someone. There are already a bazillion threads on this topic - search through them and add your post to an already existing thread. Otherwise, the whole General Forum gets cluttered with lots of nearly identical threads, and other topics people are interested in get lost in the shuffle.

In fact, if you are about to post any thread, do a search first to see if that question has already been answered, or that fact already posted! It'll keep Pet Talk easier for people to browse.

Your original statement WAS confusing.. and yes the point is to show off your own pets, but they won't necessarily take images of pets to use, they also use backgrounds etc that they may not necessarily have permission to use. And yes sometimes they DO take images of other pets or dogs from the internet to use without permission. It has happened before obviously or Karen would not have made an announcement about it. And no need to get snippy if it is just a matter of miscommunication or misunderstanding.

Karen - perhaps there could be a forum just for signature requests? like the forum for introductions? That would keep all the related requests together. I know you cant do this for every topic, but "graphics" seems like a topic that would work well on its own. :)
PS- maybe you could just move all the existing siggy threads over to it?

I was wondering if anyone would want a sig. I can't really do more then one animal per signature, but I can do a couple pictures because I can fade out the other pictures. I'm not that good yet, plus I'm not using photoshop or anything, so it can't be as good as with those programs. Only 2 or 3 requests at a time please. Anyways.. here's some examples.

And, as a reminder, signature graphics need to TOTAl 25k or less per person. So if you are volunteering to make signature graphics for anyone, make them 25k or even less.

What are you using? Photoshop has a "save for web" command, but you have to manually adjust the sliders or amount of compression until you get the number you need.

Karen, I am using the save for web thing and when I right-click on it, it says 28 kb and 88%, that's what I thought I saved it as but it says here that it's like 40 I think.
Oh and to everyone else, I'm going to be spending the weekend and until Wednesday with my dad doing stuff for the fair. I'll be on (I'm in the hotel right now) but I won't be able to do graphics probably.

Hi, if it's not too much trouble could someone help me out with fixing my signature? I wanted to put about..5 pictures on it,but they are way too big.
If someone could please help me I'd really appreciate it. Here are the pictures, and here are their names.

you can put as many as you want, because you can have any certain size for a siggy. it can be small or big just some forums have a size limit for the siggy. its like a wallpaper, you can put as many pictures as you want at least it fits.

(On the very last 2 pics you don't have to get everyone of the ducks on the picture. I just want on the second to the last picture I just want the brown duck to show, you don't have to fix it where the other ducks show up. Thanks, Almita. The mom came here around February and we decided to keep her. The other 2 kittens are her babies that we kept after we found the rest of them some homes

It won't be so difficult to get them all on one siggy if you use frames on a fairly simple background. and don't use a lot of effects. I did one with 19 cats with words and it came in under the limit.

I don't want it to be seasonal themed. I want it to be something I could use all year round. As far as colours go, I don't really care. I do like green of any kind, teal, and turquoise but just do whatever you think would look best. Something sort of girly (but not too girly) would be good too, as maybe it would help so that people know she's female. Like I said though, just choose whichever colours you think will look good. I want her name on it, and if there is room maybe a couple small paw prints or something. Thanks!

don't mean to be a busy body guys but some of the sigs that some people are using are way over the limit so to save you from getting PMed from Karen about the size I compressed them. The quality is the same I just used the save for web option on my photshop.

And for anyone else if your siggy is over 25kb or 25600b and you need your siggy compressed just let me know and I can do it in just a few seconds.
