I received this in my WinXP news--

Nuke Dreaded Pop-Ups with Web Nuke!

...No one likes them, no one reads them because the user is focused on the little "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window so they can close the hated pop up. But there's an answer: Web Nuke! This small application allows you to block Web sites that you don't like. OK, so the pop up still shows up, but the window says "can't find the scum I was supposed to show you". You probably won't feel bad about that, and you won't get DoS'd by an Orbitz pop up either.

I have downloaded (but haven't installed) this program.

If you install this becareful--I'm guessing that it will treat Pet Talk's PM msg as a pop-up ad. Remember to keep tabs on your PM inbox! :)

thanks for sharing, I hate pop-ups. They are terribly annoying and uncalled for.

They drive me bonkers. Here are some more options http://www.webattack.com/freeware/misctools/fwpopblock.shtml . You can choose a programme that blocks them altogether, or one where you can set rules to allow them for different sites - just a few more to play with!

Thanks, I can't stand those stupid ads! The just waste time saying absolutely nothing important!! If it doesn't have anything to do with animals, then I don't want anything to do with those stupid pop-ups. errrrrrr.....

Boy that would be great to have! Does anyone know - I read that even though we hate pop ups we would pay much , much more for internet use if they were not on?? Also by passing pop-ups would you still be able to log on to all the sites???
