I thought it would be far enough from the holidays and a fun time to do a swap. I know there were people that didn't follow through on the last one :( I can't guarantee it won't happen on this one but I'll do my best. And if it does, I'll see that the person left out gets a gift anyway. I need to find out who didn't give on the last one so they won't be able to participate on this one. So, what do you think? I know it's a little early but you all know how fast time flies.

Val - whenever you want, you can tie it to that day as a date, if you want, it was just a suggestion - a Scare away the Winter Blues swap would work anytime after Christmas in the Northern climes! ;)

yeah... I was talking human food.... I remembered on a sweet swap were you could send cookies, candies, chocolates... I wasn´t able to join becuase &%$· customs and regulations.... but pet food is ok... :rolleyes:

past swaps have had a min of 20 but 25 is ok for me too.... just letting you know because some deter from joining because the min stablished.... and also they have to consider shipping rates as some might be as well as another 20 depending on weight or size..... USPS has a flat rate envelope which is aroun 10-13 *I think* and you can fit a lot of pounds.... theres also a box but a bit more $$.... so joiner might think in considering that first and then fit it to the best so it´s not that pricey

We usually just make it so someone has to have been here - a member in good standing for a certain time, like 6 months, which both of them would qualify. It is really up to the person organzining the swap. And no one who was a "problem" during the last swap has signed up for this one, Val, don't worry about that. As for post counts - I mean, Paul has been here longer than literally anyone but me, and he's not even up to 600 posts yet. Some of us are naturally "chattier" than others.

Well, I just mailed my box today, and ended up adding a gusset to a box that was just a little too small, rather than cutting down one that was too big. I hope everything arrives okay! Instead of just paying the guy at the counter the requisite amount, I plastered the box with all the 37- and 39-cent stamps I had lying around, and that was enough!

Hee hee - just took a fabric marker and the shirt, wrote the names out freehand in pencil on a piece of paper first, to make sure who would fit where, then just drew them onto the sleeves!

We got our package!!!

AND........it came from - England!!!! Yes the 2 year old is coming out in this grown woman, but we are totally estastic!!

Well, the cats really loved the box everything came in, :rolleyes: but Tim & I had a wonderful time opening all the lovely wrapped gifts! Everything was wrapped in kitty paper, AND I got the very same kitty wrap for myself!! Yeah!

Let's see, we opened a ton of kitty toys: catnip mouses, fuzzy mouses toys that make noise and toys that don't! a key chain for me, and it was the very last gift that made me cry....................it was a cat frame, with.......my cats pictures in it! WOW!!!! How toughtful!!

After the day we had today (and yes, it was tough...) we got our mail late in the afternoon and there is was, a huge box, like I said from England - that in it self just blew our minds - and then all the toys & stuff that were in it - just made me smile and cry!

Thank you so very much my "mystery" gift person, Suzanne aka "mycayanglels" - YOU are the BEST!!!!!

I can't thank you enough!!!! I do have a ton of pictures, and will get around to posting them, but I just wanted everyone to know how nice Suzanne is!!!!

The box ARRIVED! WAHOO!!!

As I keep telling all of you, this is my first swap and this has been SO much FUN! Katie (kt_loves_kitties) really did put in loads of wonderful,thoughtful items, for cats, dogs, me AND my Dad! Oh Kate, you really didn't need to but how thoughtful!

I have opened everything - WITH help of course - and took 40+ photos!!! Now I just have to sort them organize them and I will get things posted.

I wrote above at about 3 PM. Since then, we have spent 6 hours at the ER for Dad. All is well, (he is home and grumbling as usual) but I won't be posting the pics until tomorrow (yawn).

A lot of schools and businesses are closing early today.

I got a lot of it at our Humane Society, which helps them. They have a wee shop called "Norm's Nook", after their mascot B&W kitty who is there. :)

There was also chcolate included for me. Yum! And a cute calendar. Dasher got tennis balls and the dumbell ball thing, lots of yummy treats that I had to open as soon as we finished taking pics. Doogie got a big mouse and some cute little mice, some balls with bells and some sparkly balls. I think those are his favorite. He got really spastic with one as soon as I stopped taking pics. The fish cat food I'm sure Doogie will love. Going to open some for dinner tonight. Thanks a bunch!

SOOOO I shipped my package out today to travel to one special neighbor from the north but I remembered after I left the post office that I forgot to put the note in it :p . I hate to ruin the surprise but Kalei you presents should be too you in the next week or so.

We received our package yesterday afternoon. I made hubby get up (he was sleeping) and take pics.
He decided to try manual and had the shutter speed set at 1.6s trying to take pics of moving cats.
:rolleyes: That didn't work to well. I made him put it in manual after the first 5 or 6 pics. So most of the
pics turned out not too bad. LOL

Angie thank you so much for the wonderful package. Artica was very possessive of EVERYTHING and
wouldn't let the cats near at all so I had to give her her new kong (thank you so very very much she
loves it) and send her off the bed. LOL The cats wet nuts completely for the Cosmic Catnip. And Frost
called the mouse/feather wand for himself immediately. He was growling and everything trying to carry it off.

I love love the magnet oh so adorable and the wind chime is lovely. I love the sound of wind chimes. :)
Great job on your selections. You did soooo good. We love it all. :D

Yes, I got my package a few weeks ago! It was wonderful, the pets and I got spoiled! :) I have been unable to post due to lack of internet from moving (of course the phone company screwed everything up, too, so we were out for a while!).

We loved everything in our package very much, thank you again Candace (Catty1)! I wish I could post pictures but I don't have a camera anymore, and can't afford to replace it just yet. But we LOVED our package, it was so special. :)

the dogs have been extra spoilt today, as we got them a play tent too
I recieved the gifts today, and all of the gifts are Great:) the dogs and cats love them all
I love the soap and the candles, they smell lovely
most of the treats got eaten straight away, the dogs especially liked the beef jerkys.
