Hi all,

Just wanted to stop by and introduce my new foster pup Gizmo. Gizmo is a Great Pyrenees, 4 1/2 months old and already almost 50 lbs.

He is a very sweet and gentle dog who had never been in a house - and while this breed was bred to be working livestock dogs, they were never meant to be isolated. Gizmo didn't work out on the farm, he is too "soft" for that lifestyle. He is just a doll and I love him already. He just went to the vet and got the all clear, got his first set of vaccinations and will be neutered in another month when he goes in for booster vaccinations.

Pardon the quality of the pictures, my camera is on the fritz and keeps doing funky things to the images, but at least you'll get an idea of what he looks like.

He is just adorable!! I'm sure he'll be a perfect foster dog. What a nice way for him to spend the holidays, in a warm and loving home with you. Merry Christmas!

Squeee, he is adorable. You will have no trouble at all finding a home for that precious pup. I bet he is enjoying all of the snow you have up there. :)

He is such a great pup. Even though he has never lived inside, he appears to be housetrained. Last night I had him out with Barney and he was giving the cutest play signals. He is starting to come out of his shell very quickly and he has been very good about only chewing appropriate things. The only problem we have is getting him outside on his own. Once he is out there, he loves it - but it is very difficult to get him out in the first place. Usually I have to pick him up and carry him out - which is very difficult given his size!

Anyway, I'm sure we'll get him adopted quickly - but we are going to be a little selective. Someone is going to have to commit to keeping him socialized and trained given his potential size.

is a healthy pup. I hope he gets the best home possible. :)
